F1 visa from B2

I visited USA with my husband and children in Apr2015. My husband decided to study computer graphics and we filed for F1 thru I539. It has been since 3 months our status is saying application received. But we got a call from the college stating sevis letter as status terminated due to request denied. We contacted uscis and still they r saying the application is pending. Really don't know what to do. Also if in any case our request is denied can we file for H1 through employer sponsorship. Pls help

Did you declare your intention to seek to change status when entering on a B?

You have to be in status to change status.

Do you have an Immigration Lawyer? You mentoned a h1b which presupposes an Employer willing to sponsor who would have a Lawyer.

Yes we hv a lawyer. We filed for F1 thru her. Uscis says our case is still pending. Then why sevis has terminated our status.

The lawyer says we hv to wait until we get a proper denial letter from uscis. Only then we will be able to reopen it.

Sevis says interface termination.what does this means.

Good tha you have a Lawyer, Lawyer will of course have the full story and the question is best asked there. Do let us know what the Lawyer says.
