Date changed on the 9th then 12th still says ready for interview

VJ buddy, has it changed to non-immigrant on both immigrant and nonimmigrant statuses? if yes, then that is a sign your visa is coming. And if it is updating regularly, then it also means your visa is coming soon. Stay positive. When was your interview? which country?

It can take time. If they kept your passport and didnt give you anything then it means its only a matter of time. Stay strong and wait.

Thank you every positve thought helps and yes they kept his passport.

Im not being positive, im being realistic. And realistically if they keep the passport and dont give you anything then it means there is some processing that needs to be done and once that is complete, your visa will be issued. Given that, your case is genuine and there are no red flags (are the any? previous marriages? visa overstays? age difference? race difference? previous visa denials?) you will definitely get the visa. EVERY case is different so stay patient. Good news will come.

The relationship is very real. Im a christian he is muslim and i have been divorced and yes im older 10 years but they never asked about any of that. Just about us meeting online we went to dubai twice in the past year and had lots of evidence they didnt even want it.

If you ask me, religion, age and history of relationships does not matter to most people, but it does raise a lot of red flags to authorities who decide. They look closely at cultures when giving K1 visas. They will look at everything closely and if you have presented the case well, then you are not far from getting issued status. Divorces and age difference can raise suspicions but not always, but divorced + older can be suspicious, but that too, not always because if you both presented yourself as attracted to each other then those things will not matter. Its a mix. Authorities look closely at cultures before deciding and that is the reason your case is taking time. I am not an expert but based on the extensive reading I have done on this site in the past months, these are the things I know. Stay hopeful. Good things will come.
