Ok... They are not anphetamines, but ok. Probably just some components that are simply prohibited in Canada. If they said anphetamines I can tell you, as a doctor that they told that just to give you an answer.

I hope you will never have problems back again and you can be free from all this situation! ;)

so i looked at law for amphetamine in the states and its a schedule 2 drug. hence, i could not have brought it off amazon just like that.

well, i have a statement of seizure that states the number of tablets of amphetamine that were confiscated from me, so it has to be true? and i was told that they ran a test on the tablets. (i am guessing it's only a fast test because it was midnight when i was detained and i doubt there is a lab open dedicated for CBSA)

the same, steroid (anabolic steroid), is both illegal in USA and canada that, i could not have bought it off the shelve (from amazon).

thank you for bring it up. right now i am really questioning the validity of the presence of amphetamine or steroid.

what are your thoughts?

So, I could write something about each drug on this supplement, for you to understand what is there a little bit!

- Mytosterone: have inhibitory effects on both 5AR and AER (5AR it´s an enzime responsible to convert testosterone to another type of testosterone to be used in the body, AER it´s another enzime who works almost at the same way as 5AR), so it works for the body to boost the testosterone production;

- Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens): science doesn´t know exactly how it works, but some studies heave being conduced to show the effect of this herb to boost testosterone, is now used for men with enlarged prostate conditions, without cancer;

- Astaxanthin (Haematococcus pluvialis): it´s a beta-carotenoid (something similar to carotene from vitamin d) and it works as a testosterone booster too;

- Rhodiola crenulata: reduces the cortisol (stress hormone) and boost testosterone (not completely discovered by studies, but scientists are working on it);

- Ginkgo Biloba: antioxidant, slow down the platelets on the body and at this way works at the blood flow and makes oxygen saturation ratio better in the whole body;

- Bornon Citrate: is nothing more than boron, that mineral on the top of the periodic table, and this mineral in bigger amounts in the body can balance hormones and even balance diabetic patients.

I can´t tell you if they tested that or not... I wish I could know better the way that they perform these statements.

I can tell you that I saw already some companies (supplement companies) who were in trouble to put more than exactly the supplements that they stated in their capsules. Tha´s why it´s always good buy from those famous ones.

I wish I could help you more. I can´t exactly say what you can do about these statements that they did.

I think is better you ask a lawyer.

If you want to read more about and know where I got some of the informations (in healthcare it´s important show where you got the information), there you go the link of a study talking about these components.

If I can help you more, please, feel free to ask.

;)

Good luck and all the best!

I think it might be a case tainted supplements, like this

CBSA is equipped to test what people are bringing in and to confirm if sugar is sugar...

Much appreciated!! If I get to use these information, I would definitely research them myself further.

Regarding to companies adding more ingredients than those on the label. I have contacted MuscleTech and they replied with the follow today:

"Hi Daniel - Alpha Test does not contain any amphetamine or related ingredients, nor does it contain anabolic steroids (also note, amphetamines and steroids are both controlled substances in the United States and Canada, and none of our products contain these ingredients in either country). With regards to your supplement, we do not recommend importing dietary supplements from other markets into Canada. Regardless of the ingredients inside, you are never guaranteed to have them pass through customs as all supplements sold for use in Canada require an NPN number which this does not have. We would suggest contacting the Amazon.com seller for a refund. For a complete ingredient list, please see http://www.muscletech.com/products/pro-series/alphatest/."

It would be a different case if I decided to sue CBSA for being wrong from the beginning, (assuming the capsules does not contained amphetamine for real).

But what this currently allows me to add to my appeal is that they were wrong from the beginning and thus request to quash the case. I am consulting my law friend what advantages this would give us.

Hmm, maybe, without proper lab testing, nobody can tell, and as stated above, MuscleTech denies it.
