Congratulations to everyone who had received their approval letters.

 

I have called USCIS and spoke with a 2nd Tier officer and she told me that my application is still going through security checks.

I mean my case was assigned Jan 23 2017 to an officer for how long can you possibly do security checks for.

Is anybody else currently in similar position? Getting super frustrated.

Got a reply from USCIS about my recent inquiry. It states: 

 

"your case is not yet ready for final adjudication, as the required investigation into your background remains open"

 

So my waiting game still remains on.

I think calling is much better than using the website. I called and found out my card is in production. Website still shows nothing at all.

13/08/2011 - met in Nicaragua
27/12/2012 - Married in the UK and moved in together in Dubai

30/03/2013 - sent I-130 packet to Chicago lockbox
08/04/2013 - packet received

09/04/2013 - NOA1

I got my approval letter yesterday, saying that my card is in production. The letter was dated 3/2/2017, the website has not been updated.

I am still waiting and filed at the end of December ( NOA in January) :(  I tried to do a case inquiry, but I got the information, that my case is still within processing time...

We received a letter in the mail at long last stating that my husband's green card renewal was finally approved on February 22nd.  We got the letter in the mail a couple of days later.  We filed on January 28th, 2016.  Only about 13 months of waiting!  Nothing changed in their online system until March 6th.  It's so strange how the online system can be weeks behind.  Snail mail was faster than online updates!

 

We are now moving forward with the citizenship process!

Met June 2009, Carlos returned to Guatemala in March 2010, engaged May 2011, hardship waiver, denial, three years of separation, second waiver, APPROVED!, finally back in the U.S. in May 2013, married June 2013, permanent resident January 2014, and at long last, a citizenship on October 17, 2019.  Our immigration journey has finally come to an end!

Finally my status changed after the approval letter dated 2/21/2017......TO....... On March 8, 2017, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number EACXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

 

 

Starting to go over the process now of citizenship. Reading and gathering documents. I believed it will still be a lot of work and mix emotions but, thinking this will be our last journey, will make this process much more enduring.
