I also have a same question, does a case status change or still remains the same "case received". I'm so tired of checking mine every single day.

Hey, so the status didnt change for a while then 3 days later it changed two times the same day into: we ordered card for you and its been mailed. i received it yesterday.

Hello All,

My husband and I filed his I-751 in January 2016, his letter is dated 01/04/2016. I was under the impression that the one year extension is from the date of the green card's expiration, which would be end of March, but reading through some of the posts here it sounds like it may be from the date on the letter? I'm wondering if any of you who have made info passes to get the passport stamp have been successful or have they told you to wait until the expiration date of the green card? I was really hopeful that that Vermont would get to January applicants before the stamp was necessary, but it's looking more and more like that won't be the case : (.

Had my appointment this morning. They took my green card and stamped on my passport. It extended for one year from today.

Currently my case is at background check point and they don't know how long it will take.

How did it goes? I know we applied the same date. Im planning to have an info pass too ASAP because i will be travelling end of the month.

It went well. The officer asked for my green card and NOA and checked the date. Then he asked me for my passport and checked the date too. And then he took my green card away and stamped on my passport.

I asked him if my case was assigned to any officer yet and he checked on his computer and told me it's still at background check. But he didn't know how long it will take FBI to finish background check.

The whole process is easy and quick. Don't worry about it.

Got an infopass appt on dec 20 at the Pittsburgh office. Everything went well. They just ask to show the expired green card, the extension letter and obviously your passport. Spent more time in the waiting room than in the actual face to face with the IO.

IO mentioned that they are getting quite a bit of stamp requests since CCs are so far behind processing this; I asked her about my case in particular, she checked on her computer and said that it hasn't been touched in a while. She didn't dare to give an estimate but did say that they are really behind.

Coming into the country with this stamp is another different animal though. Landed in LAX a few days ago, CBP drone said she couldn't admit me right at the booth and got sent to secondary screening which was full of people (mostly asians that needed translators) and it took a bit over 2 hours to get out of there; agents at secondary screening said this is normal procedure to verify that the stamp is valid and it will be like this every time i come in using the stamp. I hope it will be different at MIA when i have to come back to the US in a week.

Thanks so much for the update! We made an appointment for two weeks from now, fingers still crossed that the approvals start coming in soon!

Im trying to book for an info pass but no available dates showing up. Did you call for an info pass appointment or did it online?

Appointments are in really high demand. Check right after midnight every day, i got lucky on a sunday to monday night.
