So I just realized that when I responded to the RFE, I put the blue & white sheets into the envelope and put the envelope on top of my docs. I'm feeling worried about that and called USCIS today. The CSR said it's fine as long as I send the docs on time and it takes about 60 days for them to make a decision about RFE but I was still worried about it so I requested to talk to Tier 2 (ISO) and the CSR said they are very busy but she can make a request for call back (ISO) which will take 3-5 business day. I did request that call back and will see if everything is fine...

Does anyone know if the one year extension date is applied to the receipt date of the letter we received in January 2016 OR is applied to the expiration date of my husbands conditional green card? His conditional green card expired in march 2016, so he thinks that the one year extension is for march 2017. But it seems like a few of you say yours expires in January so you are need going to a field office to extend it.

It applies to the Expiration date on the GC!

I have a receipt dated November 17, 2015, and I attended an InfoPass at the start of November to request an extension stamp in my passport. The InfoPass agent told me that the expiration date was 1 year after the date on the green card, and therefore they didn't put an extension stamp in my passport. However, going by a conversation I had with a Tier 2 agent this week, this appears to have been incorrect advice and the incorrect action.

The Tier 2 agent I spoke with this week informed me that the expiration date is 1 year from the receipt date, and he was very surprised to hear that I'd been informed differently at InfoPass. In fact, he informed me that my extension now shows as expired on the USCIS system! Fortunately, he told me, this is not a disqualifying event because the extension stamp is a formality anyway. But if you are to ever leave the country you must ensure that you have a stamp that extends your expiration date beyond the date on the receipt.

There is clearly confusion even within USCIS as to the expiration date on the extension, so my (non-expert) advice would be to request a stamp in your passport before the anniversary of your receipt date. I hope this information helps.

Hello guys, For those whose cases recently got updated on uscis, can you let us know what was previous case status showing up online ?

I am not able to see any status as it comes up error for receipt no. not recognized.

I would greatly appreciate your response.

Thanks

Use the receipt number from Biometrics appointment not from your NOA 1.

Best wishes.
