I-751 January 2016 Filers

Hi guys,

I hope you can give me some info. I filed for I751 on Jan 21,2016. So far I haven't received NOA1. I filed through California Service Center. We did not send any check because we are applying for fee waiver. So, I can't find out whether or not my petition was received.

We both have jobs. However, things have been a bit rough lately and I am expecting right now.

Will my applying for fee waiver cause me trouble?

Or is it because I apply for fee waiver, we have not received NOA1 yet?

I'm crossing my fingers...just don't want to miss the biometrics letter. Gosh, I'll be so glad when this part is over! So tired of filling out form after form and being nervous about forms and dreaming about for....well you get my drift. LOL

I was kind of afraid of that...I suppose I should base my expectations on receiving a biometrics letter by March 1, as my NOA1 came on February 1, right? Even though our application was mailed in January?

So, I have an issue and would like your help, please. My biometrics appointment has 2 receipt numbers, but I only submitted one application, I-751, how many "application/petittion/request number" do you show on your biometric appointment notice?

The reason of my concern is I show two receipt numbers, one matches my original NOA and one is completely different, the number that shows on my NOA is showing a status "validation error" when I try to check for the status of my case. The second number on the request number does show a valid receipt status.

I called today and they told me I have to wait 30 to 45 days from my NOA to see if the validation error goes away, I'm almost there, but I'm going to call again next week.

Please let me know if yiu have the same situation, since I have one that works I'm not too worry, but I still think is odd.

He said that the field office handling my case will email me an update on my case, or they will mail me another notice within 15 days. He gave me a "referral number" to call back with if I don't receive a notice or get an email within 15 days.

I called in and the agent. He filed a request and told me, a letter would come in the next 2 weeks. If I get no letter in the next 30 days, I have to call again.

He told me it could be another Biometrics notice or a letter that tells me, that I don't need one, because my last Biometrics isn't too old.

They take all your information and they will give you a request number.

We filed i751 with i912 Jan 28 2016 and they received it feb 02 2016 and today feb 25 2016 I received I 797 notice of action.FEE WAIVED! Receipt date feb 02

That's normal, you have to wait 4-6 month after your biometrics.

The waiting game started for you.

Did he mention if you might get an email on your case? I'm hoping for an email that says my biometrics are current, so I can just not worry about a damn appointment at this stage! Good luck, by the way! Hopefully everything is resolved without much hassle.
