Hi All!

I am currently in the AOS process after marrying my fiance last year, I was a F1 visa holder when we got married. My i485 and i130 have been ready to 'schedule for an interview' for the last 5 months. I have the AP on hand. I spoke to my local congressman who's office contacted USCIS three weeks ago and again this week. They received a response saying that there's a backlog of apps they are working on and my app is still in queue.

My question is, I am completing graduate school soon and will be looking for jobs, I didn't think the green card would take this long and don't know how much longer it will take. So, we are thinking about possibly applying for a i-765 EAD. Is this possible? We would really appreciate your input!

yup - you can apply for ead - give over a copy receipt notice on the I-485 with the EAD app and the fee is waived.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thank you! What category do I enter in the "who may file" section, is it just © (9):

EAD Applicants Who Have Filed for Adjustment of Status Adjustment Applicant--©(9). File Form I-765 with a copy of the receipt notice or other evidence that your Form I-485, Application for Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, is pending. You may file Form I-765 together with your Form I-485.

is that it ? all i would send is my i485 copy attached to the i-765 app?

What would i write as my 'current immigration status' since im in the AOS process ? Also, I used my AP once already, so what would be my 'status at last entry?'

Thank you all for your help !!!

Hey everyone,

just wanted your help with two questions. I am in the AOS process with my wife who applied for our adjustment. I came to the USA a couple of years back on F-1, before i-485 app. I've used my Advance Parole once already.

in the area it states, 'current immigration status', what should I write?

Also, 'status at last entry'?

Thank you in advance

Probably either "AOS pending" or "Parolee".
