Hi!

Wondering if anyone knows the rules around searching for a job in the US prior to having the green card in hand or stamp in passport. I am obtaining through consular processing and have been to my interview and am approved. I just need to travel to the US and pass through immigrations. Is it OK for me to apply for and interview with companies in order to have a job lined up for when I enter the US as a green card holder? I understand I cannot start employment with a company prior, but any rules about searching and talking to potential employers?

Yes you can absolutely send out your resume, sign on with job agencies, and even go to interviews (either over the phone or using the Visa Waiver Program to visit). Be aware that a lot of employers will throw out your cv/ resume if it has a foreign address.
