Impact of travel to Russia

My question is about a permanent resident, who in about two years might be applying for US citizenship. That person plans to travel to Russia in the near future, under a Russian tourist visa. We know that travelling to Russia is perfectly legal, of course. But taking into consideration the current political climate, might that travel have any kind of impact on that person's future US citizenship application?

I went on vacation to St Petersburg as a tourist (no family or other connections) and green card holder. No one at USCIS cared.

Beautiful city, BTW :)
