Before all this, have you physically been with your gf within the past two years/time that you have been a couple? If you have not, you need to do that first or you will hit a dead end.

This is a checklist of all the things you need/will need including links to download the forms that you will send to Immigrations

All the while, gather all info that can serve as validation for you relationship. Copies of passport pages with stamps when you visited her, various photos that show the two of you together labeled on the back of when and where it was, text or email messages that you have both exchanged...

Definitely look at the guide. It is so helpful
