Actually, it happened back in the 60's when the Black Panthers walked into the federal building with shotguns. Immediately afterwards, the first gun control act was written. That's how gun control was conceived, as a means to take guns out of the hands of black people. Somehow I'm going to bet this won't be the case in this situation.

It's why so many black people are shot and killed over the most trivial of things while white people can be armed like Commando, go on killing sprees that take more than a few lives, and still have the faith that putting their hands up will result in a peaceful arrest without any fear of harm or death.

What's more threatening some guys taking over a small building in the middle of nowhere or an armed gang threatening the murder of police in front of a police station? Except in this case nobody ended up dead or arrested.

As has been pointed out, this is a somewhat shocking claim. There have her countless gun control laws before and after that, completely unrelated to it. This dogged fixation by some on insisting everything is about race is highly inaccurate and not doing anybody any favors, particularly those who cry wolf over and over. With each failed cry they lower their credibility.

This thread is about Domestic Terrorists taking over Federal government property, publicly indicating that they were fully equipped and prepared to shoot anyone who tried to take it back, and who apparently forgot to bring along enough snacks to stay put, several of the ring leaders tried to escape after a high speed chase, ran into or nearly hit an officer at the end of the chase, and finally the Domestic Terrorist who leaped from the vehicle and reached more than once for the jacket pocket containing a gun getting shot.

Dear Lost tried to post a very small slice of the video he hoped might be confusing as to what happened leading up to the Domestic Terrorist being shot. Crickets when I called him on it.

That is the sum and substance of this thread.

It was very difficult to turn this event into something to be taken seriously however please accept my pity for your failure to recognize the humor of the whole sordid story

I see plenty of humor in the reactions to this story, but the actual Domestic Terrorists are not particularly funny. I'm very amused, for example, with trying to find fault with the FBI agent who shot one said Domestic Terrorist by posting a tiny fraction of the openly posted video and claiming that the Terrorist was reaching for his wound. After he gets shot it's straight to the ground and pretty obviously instant death. He never moved again. The missing video shows just how justified the shooting was. Dead Domestic Terrorists aren't funny in and of themselves though. Edited February 1, 2016 by ready4ONE
