Actually, it happened back in the 60's when the Black Panthers walked into the federal building with shotguns. Immediately afterwards, the first gun control act was written. That's how gun control was conceived, as a means to take guns out of the hands of black people. Somehow I'm going to bet this won't be the case in this situation.

Let's be clear about this, minorities in this country are treated differently, no matter how much folks don't want to admit this. It's why so many black people are shot and killed over the most trivial of things while white people can be armed like Commando, go on killing sprees that take more than a few lives, and still have the faith that putting their hands up will result in a peaceful arrest without any fear of harm or death.

I just get tired of the whining. Sure there are mistakes made but there has been major progress in the last century. This is not something unique to blacks, or muslims, or native americans, nor is it even unique to america. There's prejudice all over the world against everybody(and very much so still against jews for example but you don't see them crying a river daily). You gonna comment on the "off the pigs" chant while holding assault rifles at a police station or just sit at that keyboard and look schooled? The mentioned stats categorically demonstrate that there is (zero) disarmament of black Americans but I don't think you ever have or ever will get into a discussion about who REALLY kills young black men by the tens of thousands in this country.
