It's not funny

I actually tailor my accent around americans so they can understand parts of it. But, I had been speaking to a Glaswegian, very very interesting dialect, so it had bled into my accent and I didn't put on my proper voice... ha.

I can normally be understood just fine

I just said sorry, and spoke normally, and he was like, what were you just speaking, and I had to explain Scottish, Gaelic and English are three different languages, and people who speak all 3, can be a bit hard to understand in English when they speak fast, or get excited lol

I have a case number! They received it today, have assigned the number, and will be sending to embassy in next few days, Ed N Chris, and Ismar&Brandy, you might want to call now. That should, with wood touching, be you guys processed as well?

I just called NVC again, same old answer, no matching case was found. Regarding my NOA2 is March 4th, I am confused about how NVC processes these K-1 cases. Does it have anything to do with beneficiary's nationality?

The case invoice number acts as your password the case number acts as your username.

I honestly thought it was just in order of when it's received, which would be by NOA2 date I assume.

But, if they've not processed yours, maybe it does have something to do with embassy it's going to; perhaps they do them in batches so they can ship them all at once?

I'm not sure how common your embassy is in terms of processing volume? Maybe they get a lot, so wait on a certain amount, or don't get many? Not a clue I'm afraid

Nope, we literally do nothing as far as the NVC goes, as of now, receiving the case number.

I believe the agent selection, and fee payment is specifically for I-130 (and maybe others) where you pick who will be notified about the application and pay for it to be processed. Both of which aren't relevant for us. Though technically that part comes later for us, I believe at AOS stage? (but I haven't really looked into that step as yet, so can't be much help on that)

The official next step is the NVC sends you a letter, and the Embassy sends you packet 3*

*unless it is different for your embassy, I'd suggest looking at the relevant webpage under the Fiancé visa section, and see what it says. For example, the London Embassy gives a step by step, and lets you know what to do/expect.

Just had a thought in another thread about the medical, and vaccinations, I'll copy paste it here in case anyone is not aware.

The question asked was, is it worth getting vaccinations during the K1 process, or waiting till in the USA.

It's actually beneficial to have them before your medical (or at)

This is because; the Embassy doctor completes a form which states you have the required vaccinations; this same form, if used within its validity period, can be used for the AOS form, which requires you to have these vaccinations.

If you don't have this form, you need to get another embassy doctor to complete the form, (and a second medical as a result) to file AOS.

Which as stated in the US will be more costly, and delay the AOS potentially.

Remember also, the medical is only valid for a certain length of time (I want to say 6 months, but am unsure) so AOS needs to be filled before the original medical expires, or you will also need to redo this.

Looks like it might be trial and error? Try the 24th and work forwards?

I'd need to play around with it once my case shows in transit.

There was another thread about DHL tracking somewhere with PDF instructions, I have it saved at work... will see if it gives any clearer direction.
