Sent K-1 visa to Texas Service center. However on the form I-797C, Notice of action the USCIS office address is California.

So which office is processing Texas or California? I never received any document that said it was transferred?

If two individuals want to be together, stay together and work together, it will happen. They will make it happen.Remember, the two of you are a TEAM!

I love you more today than yesterday (L) .

They might be behind on updating yesterday in their system. No not many get the e-mail or text unless they signed up for it online :)

You send it to Texas lockbox not the same as service center. Yours is at CSC

The only way you will have your case number is wait till they mail your NOA2 which sometimes takes 30-45 days. If you want it sooner then call but don't waste your time because your case won't arrive at NVC for 10 business days. Hence the reason everyone says wait 10 business days before calling. No website will have your case number.

Thank you Greenbaum!

I still have a question...

Is the reason why we need to know our case number because we need to provide this number while filling in the forms for the Consulate? or is it for another reason?

I follow the blog of a girl who asked the NVC for her case number only after receiving the letter from her Consulate. Is there a reason for which we should get our NVC number before receiving the mail from the Consulate?

To what I understand, it would simply let us have an idea of the time by which we'll get our file sent to our Consulate...but if I'm missing anything i'd be interested to know!! Thank you :)

Yeah! Congratulations! I was waiting on you to post. We have the same approval date March 14th. We were in Jamaica for Speing Break vacation together when we received it. We of course celebrated nicely that day. I'm so happy! We will begin calling NVC on March 28/29th. It seems like it's taking 14 or 15 working days for them to receive our petitions.

Did you get a text and/or email for the NOA2?

Thank you. It's so nice you were together, I got very sick, was in ER yet was very happy receiving NOA2 by mail, didn't get any text or email about NOA2

Thank you to all for Congrats! I appreciate it. Tasha

People like to know it so they can track the progress of their case once again.

Certain countries also need to know this number to book their medical, such as the UK. (Technically not to book...)

If people are trying to shorten the length of time it takes, and this applies to their country, that will be why they are trying to get the number earlier, or to track it.

For some Embassy getting the case number from NVC helps in keeping their case moving. Otherwise you nay not hear from them for months or not at all. Most have the problem because of the mail service for their country. Check your Embassy's website for additional information.

I just called NVC to see if they received my case and still nothing, this time the operator gave me not the usual wait for 35 days but wait for 70 days oO I was like ####### in my head. I do not understand why it takes so much time for them to send the case compare to some who got their case received in a week or two.
