Out of interest mumble... which question number did you miss? 15?

Glad it was that simple for you though.

No, neither of us are currently in the US so it didn't appy to us. We missed part 3 section 2 because I was sure it was about the armed forces...

Quick question: do we just put the papers in the included envelope, or do we put them in the envelope and then put that in another envelope? The envelope attached is pre-addressed so I assume I can just use that alone

I think you can just send the envelope as it comes, don't think you need to double... wrap(?) it.

I assume, that's why they'd send a pre addressed envelope? Don't think it would hurt either way though, whatever you feel safest with.

But, if you courier it, they normally give you one of their own envelopes for it, least that's what they did when I sent off originally.

Thanks. I read a while ago that you're supposed to put your case number on the envelope along with other stuff, so I'll look into it to make sure I do it all properly.

Yeah, South Africa also.

Here in the U.S. neither Friday nor Monday is a holiday.

That's not to say as much work gets done on those 2 days as "normal" days though ;)

Not only does not much work get done on those two days, but the next few weeks are Spring Break in the US for schools, so there will likely be people taking vacation. I wouldn't be surprised if processing slows down a bit the next few weeks unfortunately.

CENOMAR???? Okay not sure if I need to start a new post, or anyone here can help me with this. My Fiancé" is from the Philippines, has worked in Hong Kong for the last 5 years, and has a Hong Kong Passport . She has been married and divorced, and has the documentation for both. Will she be required to do a CENOMAR, (which is Certificate for No Marriage). She hasn't been asked for one, just want to see if we need one, so we can request it.

Thanks

I think CENOMAR is for Philippines passport holder only. Does Hong Kong has something similar?

The consulate doesn't really talk about it. I saw someone had posted about it so I wasn't sure if she needed one. I will keep hunting or hoping maybe someone else knows.

It's easy to get in Philippines if she need it. I believe you present it during interview.

What where do y'all work? Not much work gets done on these days? Must be nice in America if you're at work you better work. If one of my employees effort lacked because of good friday or spring break they wouldn't have a job much longer. They can't let everyone take off either. Only a certain amount of people they still have quotas and statistics to meet basic management fundamentals. It shouldn't slow down at all because of religious holidays and spring break.

Depends on the workplace. I'm from the US and I think its common to be a little less productive on days like Christmas Eve and other pre-holidays.

Exactly. People are of course still working, but depending on the workplace and the manager, sometimes there's flexibility around leaving a bit early, etc to accommodate holidays, travel plans for family, work-life balance, etc. And of course people aren't all taking the day off, but people do have vacation time that they'll use and this is a common time of year to use it as their children are off from school. I understand frustration as people are waiting, but I also think it's important to remember that the individuals working in these offices have lives and families as well. I'm keeping a potential delay in mind as I wait for my case number from NVC. Just thought I'd make others aware that it was a possibility, not a certainty.
