I've read about this happening to someone else with POF...I think that person emailed the customer and got a response back pretty quick stating they are not a IMB. Sorry I can't remember where I read it but maybe try that? I met my fiance on Interpals which is also not an IMB so I'm hoping we don't get an RFE for that as well.

Hi, I met my fiance in Interpals too...they're not IMB and you're good to go as long as you submitted their TOS :-).. Wishing you the best of luck!

Hello Everyone!

Im new to this forum. I hope every single one of you gets an approval soon :dancing:

I have a question and I would appreciate any response. I have recently received an RFE (March 9, 2016) and it says additional evidence is required to establish the qualifying relationship. Submit your response to this request for evidence.

Beneficiary's Intent to Marry you in the United State. Evidence of beneficiary's intent may be a statement from the beneficiary, wedding preparations or other evidence that clearly establishes his intent to marry.

I am very confused because when I sent the petition I included a statement of intent from myself and my fiance (both signed). I dont understand why we are being asked for another statement of intent. My lawyer said that it could be because they want to make sure that my fiance and I still intend on getting married. So my fiance has written another statement of Intent, stating that he swears and attests that he seeks to enter the U.S. solely for the purpose of getting married to me...(signed)

Will a statement of intent from him be enough, because I honestly dont have any wedding preparations yet

Is there anything else I should include?

We received the hardcopy of our NOA1 last February 5. Still waiting for our NOA2 or RFE. Are we still in the normal waiting range?

USCIS states they have up to 5 months to adjuticate your application. Every case is different but wait times run about 45 to 60 days.

Typically a request like yours is because they either did not receive it in the scanned copies or it's misplaced. I believe it's the first and not the latter. Just redo the letters, sign in black ink and follow the directions contained in the RFE for the return. This is not an usually request as I have seen many times before.

No need to notorized unless specifically ask for in the RFE. Always double check your lawyer as too many times it's been their fault.

Rceived my RFE today in the mail, and it turns out that it was the website my fiance and I met on that caused it. We met on POF and according to the RFE, it states that it is an International Marriage Broker, but it's not! So I've been dealing with this alll day, trying to get in contact with POF, but no answer. I contacted the parent company,and they are not helpful, so I'm stressed out... :crying:

Go to their website and look at the the bottom of the page and look for their terms of service. Print a copy and return according to the directions in the RFE.

Thank you Franceyah! I didn't submit the TOS (I'm assuming that's terms of service?) In my explanation of how we met I did say we met through Interpals but only for language exchange reason about 3 years ago and just started dating last year. At least it's an easy fix if they do request that :)
