Yay lots of NOA2, progress! :D

Side note; we've found a tick box we missed on the i-129f, for question 15, has fiance ever been in the US.

Guess we glossed over it since it looks like its part of the spouse part.

Roll on RFE :(

Random question (can't believe it took me this long to ask) - what is the NOA1 date? I just noticed the NOA1 letter I received has a "Received Date" as well as a "Notice Date..."

Thanks in advance!!

I believe the NOA1 date is the Notice Date. But when NOA2 comes, the Notice Date on the NOA1 becomes "Receipt Date". That's what happened to ours.

Hi Everyone,

I am gathering the supporting documents for Form I-134 Affidavit for Support. The K-1 guide on this website listed a bank letter as one of the documents. It said the bank letter should be from your financial institution and should contain the date you open the account, the total deposits for the year and the balance in the account. Is there a sample letter for this? I have my monthly bank statements, but this is asking for a letter. I would like to see an example, so that I can request this from my bank. Currently the list of supporting documents that I have are: 2014 & 2015 income tax documents, 2014 & 2015 W-2 Forms, paycheck stubs, bank statements, and employer verification letter. Thanks in advance for your help!

You would be better served with "experts" that have processed through your embassy and they can be found in the sub-forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/149-india/

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should become familiar with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with. This will allow you to get direct answers from those who have processed and received their visa before you. Every Embassy is different in the requested documents. For instance, the Embassy in the Philippines does not require bank statements and at this point are not even asking for an update I-134 as they are using the one that was submitted with the I-129F.

Thank you so much for the link to the India forum. I didn't submit the I-134 with my I-129F. I read that my fiance would need the I-134 for the interview; therefore, I did not submit it with the I-129F application. Hope I didn't make a big big mistake.
