Just be aware that not all embassies allow the petitioner to be present :)

Yeah, I checked info on the embassy to make sure it's alright if I go, so I don't get stuck waiting outside the whole time haha

Not hard in your case, as long as your sponsor has submitted the deployment orders (not just RFO). And USCIS has a separate military hotline you guys can use to check the case status.

Not hard in your case, as long as your sponsor has submitted the deployment orders (not just RFO). And USCIS has a separate military hotline you guys can use to check the case status.

I agree. It's a perfectly valid reason and I'm sure the officer reviewing your case will appreciate your fiance's service, as we all do. :)

That is good. I don't know all the papers that got sent in when we applyed bc we where using attorneys. But hopefully they will have all the papers that they need :D

Thank you so much mumbles. Yes it's a good thing that my fiancée is doing. But it will be hard to be away from each other when we have struggled so hard to be together. But soon we can be together forever :D

I just noticed an error in the NOA1 (I know, I'm the smartest person ever for just now noticing it :ranting: ) so I actually do have to call USCIS...

Ooh!! What does that mean? Error?

Yeah, I just noticed an error on my fiance's DOB. I'm upset with myself for overlooking this before, but hopefully a call to USCIS can fix it... Trying not to panic

Don't get upset, it'll be fine. They will change it when you get though and it isn't an issue :) I've seen lots of people have errors like this too it won't cause any problems.

Ahhh thank you so much for reassuring me. :) my main concern is that it'll slow the process. But I'm planning on staying here until at least August so i guess a little extra time wont hurt that bad... But this forum is full of fantastic people! Still hoping we all get good news in the coming months.

It shouldn't have thought that It would get held up. You are very lucky you have the option to be together and I'm sure the process should be done with before August.

Just called in, they said i can expect to receive a notice in the mail in up to a month. Hopefully it doesnt take that long, but I understand they have their hands full with other stuff.
