My advice is to set up your timeline and it will automatically give you an estimated time for your approval. Also, from what you have written about your case, as long as you provide the appropriate documentation, such as divorce decree, translated if necessary, and other documents according to instructions, everything should be fine. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Hello people first of all this forum is been a great help to me .. providing lil info on my side have recieved noa1 on 13th Jan 2016 and I am waiting for the next noa2 any idea approx by when to expect it?.

My partner filed it to texas and is processed in csc I guess figured it out by reading different threads.. I am currently in india mumbai and one of my main concerns were I was in uk to study how ever did not finish it as fell in love and it was my world then so got married but down the line it did not work so came back to india and staying here since more than five years with my family .. never been a defaulter and all the divorce documents are as per norms and ready with me from UK as I was under eea family visa catogary. Then met this girl and heaven was under my feet again after 5 years of being alone and it's been more than 10 months we together got engaged in india with all my family and hers present.snaps attached with the file.

But before we got engaged I tried visiting usa by tour so we could see each other but was not given a visa and was told to try again.. will this affect our case...

Any advice or help would be appreciated. .

Stay blessed and spread joy.

Wish you all good luck and be with your loved once.

It shouldn't affect your case if your paperwork is in order. If you've already submitted your packet, it's just time to wait and see if you get an RFE.

Good luck!

Patience is key friends! I know it's hard because I find myself checking out the timelines to see who's received the NOA2 before us and it looks like they're on pace so at least I'm happy in not seeing any kind of backlog right now.

Maria is right. We have it easy compared to those who filed this time last year and got stuck with backlog in TSC. Some of us will hopefully start getting our NOA2 next week. They are progressing forward with processing. For now just make sure you are all prepared for the next part. I'm packing early april and sending some things over to my fiance, things like that and wedding plans keep you busy and keep your mind off the wait. I've started making some of our wedding decorations :)

Defiantly take a look at the UK sub-forum! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/ there are lots of things to be doing while you are waiting! :) There is a lot of info on that forum to do with the process in London and what you will need to get ready. For example police checks (mine just came back yesterday) as well as anything like vaccinations.

Yes, indeed! That backlog at TSC was horrific - or so I read. That's exactly what I've been doing too... I already have the list for our consulate for what to bring to the interview since they don't send out anything. Pretty much soon as we have our NOA2 and we get the case # and so forth we can proceed with the DS app and setting the interview.

You and I have the same timeline. We are about halfway through the wait for our 2nd notice. I've also discovered patience is key... we are so lucky that we are only having to wait a few months for the entire process!

I think it's going to fly by and before we know it it's the end of Feb and we'll be looking forward to Mar :)

That's because the information you are looking at is only a guess and is based off others who are processing and their times. You just need a little more patience.

Education has no baring on the visa approval.

Did you meet on a dating website? If so there is a possibility you will receive and RFE if you did not attach the TOS (terms of service) from that website.

Getting declined on a visitor visa will not negate you from getting a fiancé visa. Of course that depends on your background passing.

Normal processing for NOA2 is about 45 days.

Good luck.

Use the tools here in VJ to answer "when I am going to get etc. etc." question. Near your picture there is a link for your timeline. Select it and once you're on the next page near your picture you will see "follow similar timelines" and it will populate 12 other couples who are near your dates. Scroll down and you will see a "spreadsheet" style page showing all the variables for measurement for when others are getting the same notice of approval or action. Try it. It really works!

I followed those that were in my group to give me an idea where they were in processing so I could judge if I was ahead or behind. It's pretty accurate, maybe within a day or so. If you choose to "follow" those twelve members then you will get an email every time their status updates.

I think a lot of people don't realize that while we are waiting they could be saving themselves time. Where things like vaccinations can be done at the medical, getting hold of your vaccination record helps. Preparing anything you need done for the medical means you can take your medical sooner. Having the police check to hand (which if you want expedited costs more than if you have it done over time here in the UK). Means as soon as you can get your new case number, you can be guessing when your file will hit the consulate and getting the medical booked. That can take a good month off your wait time. In England we have to wait until the medical is done and they book the appointment for us, so getting all these things done now means that when the NOA2 comes we are prepared for it. So much I wouldn't have known with out the sub-forum and other VJ members :)

It amazes me to how different each Embassy is in their processing. We processed through the Philippine's Embassy and for there, you do just about everything online and then also some steps in person. You do all the scheduling and completing. Once you have completed the pre-interview stuff, then you show up at the date and time that you yourself had scheduled. Done.

The system there is so easy, but many make it difficult. About 6 months ago I took all my knowledge from reading the forum and my actual process and designed a website to help others. If they follow each step of the way, they will pass. Many have used it and have had no problems passing. Now many are using it for the AOS. They will return and process their ROC and Naturalization. Of course once your in the US then you can began using my website as you return to a process that everyone has to use to attain their AOS, ROC and Nat. Link is below at the twisting arrow. Start at the tab marked "USA What's Next?".
