I had heard that if you got the interview waived you'd wait longer for the Green Card vs being scheduled for an interview. But a couple K-1 cases I was tracking out of the LA office had their interview waived and did indeed receive their GC soon after.

We're hoping and crossing our fingers for GC approval in time for March/April so we can plan a summer vacation/visit with my wife's family in Mexico.

I never got notification of interview waived... straight to being produced.

I've still not had a biometrics appointment and I sent in my paperwork and got my NOAs at the start of August, I had to call up USCIS 2 weeks ago to ask what the delay was and they have sent a request to my local office to make my biometrics appointment for me, if I haven't heard anything by next week I will be calling them again.

Would an RFE on the AOS slow down the process of our EAD? I think they're separately handled but i want to be sure. Two different case numbers is reassuring

According to their "process", it does place a hold on the EAD/AP processing. However, there's been MANY cases where it doesn't affect it. I guess it just depends on a per case basis.

I've seen a couple RFEs for that already, someone got it for not submitting proof of U.S. citizenship for the I-864 sponsor - they wanted an actual certified copy birth certificate instead of a regular copy. I got my RFIE for the I-864 for a "form glitch" which was no fault of my own. So I was ready because I had discovered the glitch beforehand. I sent my response two days after I got the hardcopy RFIE.

Interesting. What was the form glitch? My RFE also says my joint sponsor doesn't meet the poverty guidelines, even though he made seven figures last year...

The I-864's last page has a section for additional info and it automatically prints the sponsor's name there. When I got to that last page, I deleted the name there because it made it look like there was additional info - which there isn't. To my surprise, I should have double checked the form again after printing because when you delete the name from the additional info section it automatically deletes the name from another place in the form where it asks for sponsor's name.

So if you delete the name from Part 11. additional info - go to section 4, (pg 3) (bottom left) and it automatically deletes the sponsor's full name from that section if you deleted the name from Part 11.

No way! They might want a certified copy of the birth certificate?! Man, these people, lol! We submitted a regular copy but we'll see how it goes. Did any of you experienced a long time waiting before the check was cashed or NOA1? I send my AOS off on 10/13.
