If I'm approved and they're processing it, you get put under AP right? My case is under AP since today but it says on the last part: Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks. Please follow any instructions provided by the Consular Officer at the time of your interview. If further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed/available within two business days.

Yes thats what it means. Some stay in AP only a few days or longer. If you havent gotten your answer yet :D

So have been super busy. Fiance arrived on the 18th. Everything has been great. POE was very good and went smoothly. He is finally adjusting to the time and its a complete 180 from where he lives but in a good way. Very quiet here he says lol

So we have the visa in hand and fiance will be in the USA on August 20th. How do we know what the next steps are? Is that going to be explained at the POE or do we research online?

You'll probably have to do some research here on VJ and elsewhere. They really don't give you too much information apart from what comes with your visa, at my POE the officer told me to check online and ask around because they really don't give new immigrants a lot of information when they first arrive and it's overwhelming and confusing to most people.

Wow that sucks. Thanks for the help!

Does anyone know how strict they are on "working" while EAD/AP is still pending for example, or not at all. Small explanation: My grandmother in law's good friend own a small day care in her basement and needs some help with baby sitting, however, she doesn't have to pay me but it'll be nice to get out of the house for a few hours and baby sit some kids because I love doing it. I have this feeling this will be considered as working even though I won't get paid. This is just helping a friend out. She has a job offer for me, though, when I'm authorized to work so I hope I can file an expedite after filling AOS because she needs my help and work experience with children.
