Hi benkat9596 I literally received my email @ 9:53pm (GMT) looks like we may well have a similar timeline subject to things going smoothly! I had no idea how much this process would actually take over my life! I have been checking my email frequently over the last couple of days in the hope of seeing the acceptance email! Exciting times!!!

Awesome! I know haha, we check up on everything like every few hours, text, emails, forums, crazy haha!

Do you guys get a case id in your noa1 email?

It is in the email, my fiance fwd me the email so I could see it. I didn't really see the letter properly as he just took a picture of part of it to show me before he had to go away on a business trip. But the code starts something like WAC and then a number and you can then track it with the app.

Yeah, we tried to track the case on the app but it wasn't recognized yet, I imagine the system needs to be updated soon!

Hi January Filers,

We sent our I-129 F package on 01/23/2016, which made it to the Dallas Lockbox on 01/24/2016 and today (01/28/2016) we received a text and email notification (NOA1) giving us our receipt number, which is our case number (WAC##########), and letting us know that our case is being forwarded to the California Service Center (CSC). The email also said that the Form I-797, which is the hard copy receipt notice, should arrive in the mail within the next 7-10 days. They suggested to wait until we receive the Form I-797 before checking our case status. I guess this is to give them time to update the status. Now we hope for a smooth ride to the NOA2 without a Request For Evidence (RFE). Now the waiting begins and hopefully not for long! :joy:Good luck everyone!

Checked the email, and it is the NOA1, as suspected, it has the case reference.

In other news the hard copy NOA1 arrived as well, so micro stress for nothing.

21st as date on letter as well, so we do seem on the same timescale Maria.

Now to just hope for no RFE for anyone.

I also suspect we didn't get the text because we used a UK phone number, and they may have not sent it to the correct number prefix.

What kind of dates have you guys got in the back of your mind for the wedding? We've set August 20th aside, think that leaves enough time?

At the moment we are hoping for a move date of July 27th and a wedding date at the beginning of October. My daughter is only 8 and we'd like her to start school at the beginning of the school year which starts in August there and we'd like time to plan the wedding a bit together. We have already discussed a lot now but I don't think we will put anything in stone until I have the visa and have booked the flights.

We're aiming for late July, but it may be too late too book a venue by the time he gets here, so getting married at the courthouse will be our backup plan :-)

We're just going to get married at the courthouse first when I get there then we will have the ceremony next year. I don't want to add the stress of planning a wedding while I'm already worrying about the visa application. :)

Our packet got delivered today according to FedEx, I guess the weather affected the delivery since we sent it out last Monday. Hope to get the NOA1 next week!
