Once it says issued they should contact you and let you know how to pick it up.

It's being mailed through dhl. He has not been contacted though

Congrats!

I never got any tracking info for mine, but it turned up at my house very fast.

Thanks :D He called the embassy today to find out about tracking for DHL. Was told they have not sent it out yet and he should get an email when they do. Said it could take 2 weeks to send through the mail?? I certainly hope not cuz we booked for the 12th thinking that's plenty time for DHL to get it to him. Now Im not so sure and kind of freaking out we will have to pay extra to switch the seat

Hey does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to transfer money to the US? My fiance has money in the bank here in Europe and transferring it certain ways will cause him to lose a lot with exchange rates... If its over a certain amount he has to declare it at customs if he has it on him.

As far as I know, you can just transfer it from his bank to your bank if you want to. For example; My fiancé has opened another savings account and with the help of both banks, we will transfer my savings to the new account in America. There are no costs for this.

Still hoping for Monday but his flight is Tuesday morning. He cannot pick it up :(

Oh darn... hmm... even if you get the tracking number on Monday, does that mean you can pick it up on Monday? Not sure how your consulate works...

Unfortunately, might be best to reschedule the flight and avoid stressing a lot more over this :/

western union. There is usually fees for bank transfers. You have a nice bank

I would use Western Union as a last resort. They charge higher fees and give lower exchange rates than banks.
