Thank you all! It's such a relief, and I was so sure we'd get an RFE for only telling them we met online, not where we met online (from what I understand some people get an RFE for not telling what site they met on?). Anyway, so very happy now.

About almost an hour into his interview but not sure how quickly he was taken back. Anxiously waiting his call. The interview letter says he may have to wait a few hours for processing before knowing if he was approved and then to get the visa also says typically 2 weeks!! ?????? that's a long time idk why it takes so long. Any one else think that's like forever. Smh. I'm going that's just a generic thing and doesn't take near that long. I'd like him to be here at least for a little longer before we marry sheesh

APPROVED!!!! They said my income was low for 4 people but then said it was ok. I'm above their income standards in the chart and let's face it that's typical for US families lots of people don't have a two income family.

How do you track the visa though.

To track it you can check the status on the CEAC site. Once it's Issued it would probably be a couple days before you receive the tracking info by email. At least that's the process I've seen so far.

Stupid question but fiancé wants to make sure when he books his ticket it's just a one way ticket right? His friends think he should do a two way because that's what they did not they also obviously had a visitor visa but this is different cuz it's a fiancé visa

Why get a two-way ticket? The whole point of the fiance visa is to enter the USA only once and get married on US soil. If I'm not mistaken, the foreign fiance can't leave the US until the greencard has been processed and card in hand. True or no?

As for us, I had a little panic session because the medical office made a blunder and didn't send our results on time. We decided we would rather be safe than sorry - he went to the medical office to collect his results (a 3 hour bus ride and then another $60 taxi ride later).

Anyways, our interview was last Wednesday in Montreal, Canada and we were approved! Fiance went in at 9:30am and came out only 3 minutes later. The Consulate said he should get his passport back in 3 weeks so we're planning on POE to be 8/20 then civil ceremony 9/2.

Congratulations to all those approved and good luck to those waiting!

Round way tickets are most likely half cheaper than one way. For example; round way for me right now is €1250 when the one trip one is actually €2500. You can always cancel the ticket back, common K1's do that.

Airline tried to tell us that the airport wouldn't let now HUSBAND on the plane... So don't let anybody fool you.

How many of us already file AOS for K1. I'm thinking to spend all day to work on it. So what information to we need to collect. Does anyone have a cover letter for AOS

N400 (Open window 1/24/2020)

03/03/2020: online submitted N400 application

 

ROC I-751 (Open window 1/24/2019)

03/11/19: I751 sent to Phoenix, AZ.

03/12/19: Package delivered and signed for

03/19/19: The check was cashed. Text message was received couple hours later (#LIN)

03/22/19: Received NOA/18 months extended letter for GC

9/14/19: Biometrics letter received in the mailbox. Appointment is on Sep 25,2019

1/24/2020:  "New card is being produced"


AOS for K1

07/07/16: I-485, I-765, I-131 AOS Application sent to USCIS Chicago IL.

07/08/16: Package delivered

7/12/16: Electronic texts & email receiveds

7/15/16: 3 Hardcopy NOA1s received in the mailbox with dated July 11,2016

7/23/16: Biometrics letter received in the mailbox. Appointment is on Aug 4,2016

8/4/16: BIO is done at Denver USCIS support center

Thanks for responding. I heard it is cheaper round trip but definitely not cheaper in our situation. I also looked up immersion lawyers responses to this type of question and they all said its fine for a round trip. We are going for one way however
