My pc has been broken so its been really difficult to keep up. My interview is weds (today as its 12:40am here).

we had our interview today and was approved :dancing: yeeeey! so happy.....but what next? how do we know if passport has been sent to were we told them to? we signed up to the site they told us to and told them to send it to a specific DHL office.

Hi everyone, I just noticed that our visa is wrong name ( Middle and first name reverse order). We have no problem getting to the US but the local SSN office not let us apply for SSN. They said they only used whatever in the visa (which mean they only use middle name as firstname). I just double check on DS 160 and it also mess up (which mean I typed wrong). They asked us to come to USCIS local to correct to visa but I dont know if I can walk in or make appointment with them? and also what documents do I have to bring to them to prove that this is an error. You need to contact uscis. We aren't them and none of us have had this issue to my knowledge.

Congrats to you! You can check with the local DHL office for any updates ask them for your tracking number too!

I can finally schedule my medical in two days. I had a small note attached to my interview letter stating that I couldn't call for the medical exam until June 20. So first thing after the weekend has ended, plan that medical! More nervous for that than for the actual interview. I don't like doctors (who does?) or needles. Everything for love right...? -sarcasm-

Congrats on the new approvals and good luck for those who have medicals and interviews coming up!

Unfortunately, we ran into an issue this morning when my fiancé tried to enter the country. He had previously lived in the US (and had a green card) and when he left, he never formally renounced his residency. His green card was expiring so he just went home. Well...apparently he needed to formally renounce it so the customs agents at the airport wouldn't let him through this morning and he had to fill out special paperwork to come through. He missed his flight but thankfully they're letting him through to take one later, just with some kind of caveat or special entry permission as opposed to his K-1. What's really frustrating is both agents said this is something that absolutely should have come up during the visa process, so the fact that he made it this far without this ever being raised made no sense. If we'd known we would have filed whatever form needed to be filed!

We're also really bummed since they advised him to not get married until this is fixed, and we were supposed to get married this Thursday, so now we have to postpone until after we can schedule an appt with the appropriate office here in Seattle and get this fixed. In the grand scheme of things it's not the end of the world, but it's still disappointing.
