Can the USC pay the DS-160 fee from the US with his/her card? Or is it the foreigner that pays it with his/her card?

Both can pay the fee for the next step

Medical done! He had to go get some additional vaccines like chicken pox and flu shot. The place he went said they dont have the chicken pox vaccine (trying to get this done free so public hospital) but when he went back in to get his flu shot the nurse said they dont give the CP vaccine to the public but she gave it to him. And yellow fever and hepatitis also for free. Now he just needs to go get his results. 2 weeks til his interview!! Less than 2 months to marry. Bummer thing is typical time for his visa to get to him is 3-10 days longer than we were expecting and he already gave notice to his landlord

I didn't had to pay a fee for the DS-160. Only when I get packet 4, they will ask me to pay the visa on forehand.

Is it normal for some countries to pay DS-160 fee then?

I don't even know if we get packet 4? We only have the DS-160 and then we get a checklist from the embassy, or that's all I know of at least. I don't know what packet 3 and 4 is.

I meant the fee that everyone pays for the VISA, not a specific fee for the DS-160 itself.

We do not have a package 4.

After NVC you get an e-mail from the embassy about your next steps (I can send it to you if you want to see it) That e-mail is package 3 for us in Sweden. We don't send anything back you just get your medical, create an account via a link they provide, fill out and send it the DS-160 via the link, pay the fee online and then you book you interview date.

Thank you! Yes that's kinda what I had read about this far, I think Maria&Seve posted the checklist a while back so that helps too. :)

Do you pay the fee via the same website as the DS-160? And you book the interview on the same website too?

At this point I'm not sure we'll ever get that far in the K-1 process but I'm asking just in case we finally get past the USCIS stage.

Yes she posted it on page 220 :)

No you don't pay a fee on the DS-160 and it's not the same page as all the other stuff. They will give you link to it all (Can also be seen in the posted checklist)

Thank you, Georgia. I'm sure it'll be easy enough when/if we get there.

Fiance got his medical done in Krakow earlier this week. Poor thing had to get a tetanus booster so his arm will be sore for a few days...

We paid a decent chunk of money but it's all worth it :) Interview is scheduled for June 16, and then we fly at the end of July so he can spend time with his family before he leaves.

Question for those who have filed the DS-160 -- is the visa fee payment confirmation included in the appointment confirmation page? I'm trying to figure out how to prove I paid the fee...
