My fiancée's mother just got approved for her Tourist Visa - she will be joining us for our wedding! Wedding celebration, Aug 5th and legally getting married maybe by the end of the month :)

Quick question is it faster to pick up your visa and passport after you are approved or haveit mailed to you?

It depends on a lot of things. Not al are allowed to pick it up some have too. Is it in the same country and how fast is the mailing system in that country.

I would ask I the country forum or look at timelines from that country. If you can pick it up then I guess that will be fast

Ours showed issued as of Friday and was ready for pick up on Tuesday at the facility they ship to. Cannot pick up at embassy in Guatemala

It's country-specific at that point... try asking someone that got approved before you, send them a private msg.

I know for Mexico, for ex, it's quicker to wait for it there and you don't pick it up at the consulate but rather at a DHL location nearby.
