So I have a bit of a predicament. I filled out my I-134 and I make 125% over the minimum wage but I don't have any tax returns. I have a cosponsor and he lost his tax returns so he put in a request for his tax transcripts on Tuesday the 24th and we haven't received the transcripts back. My fiancé's interview is on Tuesday the 31st right after Memorial Day so I should get the transcripts by then but what should I tell my fiancé to go into his interview? He is going in with 2 affidavits of support with one showing proof of my income like pay stubs and how I was claimed on my moms taxes and just another I-134 with no attachments.

Yes, that's where you can put your account balance.

Thanks Maria for your response.

One more question...

For the interview; Do we need to book for the wedding date..??? do they need it during the interview??? Do they ask for it?

Or I only need to have a proposed date when they ask???

Just incase they ask when the wedding will be!

THanks

When i went for my interview he asked me about our wedding and I told him we had nothing planned for certain but that if everything went and the visa was issued we had planned to get married around the 18th of June, nothing fancy or big since we don't have time to prepare for that, just friends and food and a party! And that answer was perfectly acceptable.

I don't think they assume that you will have your wedding all planned out because you will not have all that much time to plan it.

OMG five months??? I'd die!!! Please let us know!!!!

So we called USCIS and they weren't interested in helping us locating our file. They just said all Tier2 are too busy, they don't have time.

What else can we do when USCIS doesn't want to help? I know of senator or congressman, what else is there?

Hello all! I've been following this thread for a while, but we only just got our NOA2 a week and a half ago. We're preparing materials for the next step, and I've got a question about translated documents. My fiancé and I met (and still live in) China, so his police certificate may be issued in Chinese...we're having push-back about getting it issued at the moment so we don't know what it will look like.

I was wondering how particular embassies are about who has translated the documents, specifically London since that's where our interview will be. My best friend here in China is bilingual, and does PR for a Chinese/British charity, so would it be okay if she translated our docs? I've seen the form for translations on this site, I'm curious if they'd also want a red stamp of some kind...
