And my love is here!!! He said they barely asked any questions at POE... Just why was he here, said ok, and said he had to marry me in 90 days! He said it was so simple!!!!!

I know!! Both my fiance and I are so frustrated When I called NVC she said to allow up to 10 business days for the case to reach the embassy, and once they put our case in the system, we will hear something from the embassy! But what's painful is when we contact the embassy they'll say to go ahead and pay the visa fee, then when we try to pay it, the embassy says, oh your case isn't here yet

We have to apologize for not being so active but you started the January thread, then we replied.

Yikes, we have to admit we felt good about our progress but now in the end you really aren't far behind us.

It all works out I guesss in this "journey.

So instead of having to wait for my interview to be issued 5-6 weeks after my medical, I could book it now which is just under 5 weeks. With out the new system I think I would be interviewing in July.

Welcome, have you been calling NVC? I would think you'd have your number around Thursday or Friday next week. I got my NOA2 on the 18th and they gave me my number on monday exactly 3 weeks after my NOA2.

I haven't actually called, because I thought that we wouldn't get a number until next week, based off everybody else's timelines. To be honest, we aren't in a huge rush to get the case number anyhow, as we are trying to 'finesse' things a little. Lauren will be visiting me in the UK throughout July, so I'd like to get medical booked in for when she is here. The plan is to have a day or two in London after the medical, something nice to look forward to after all the poking and prodding!

That being said, I am getting restless to crack on with things!

Also late to the party, but I've been following this topic for awhile and getting even more excited for the next steps. We filed on January 11th. got our NOA2 on April 14th, and are waiting for our case number now. I was ready to start calling a week after we got it, but realized (shamefully late, considering all the reading I'd been doing) that I needed to renew my passport to meet the 'valid for 6 months post POE' requirement, so now I'm just gathering up everything else we'll need while I wait for that. I got the second worst part over with earlier this week - vaccinations, had a bit of a fever for two days after - and am now building up to the worst part, which is going to be getting a rabies shot for my cat and getting him ready to travel. Actually, if I really think about it, getting him ready is almost more stressful than getting myself ready

I'll probably call NVC at some point next week just to check on things, though. We're not at 35 days yet, but I'd rather be sure that nothing has gotten lost in transit. I also wish there was a way to check what kind of wait people are currently experiencing when it comes to interviews in Montreal, but I guess I'll have to wait until I get to that step to see for myself. I know that a lot of variables can come into play.
