So I was finally able to get in contact with the embassy, and they said they have the electronic copy of our case, but not the physical case, so I have to wait for that to reach the embassy before we are able to schedule an appointment, which could take up to three weeks :cry:

09/05/2016- Paperwork received by Chicago lockbox

09/08/2016- NOA1 Texts Received

09/10/2016- NOA1s received in the mail

09/30/2016- Biometrics completed (walk-in, Tukwila)

10/01/2016- Notice of Request for Initial Evidence via text (I-485)

Best of luck amzj. I had to wait the full 35 days. Still waiting for it to be sent from nvc now. Been 5 days so far. I tilried calling to see if they have a shipping time frame like within 42 days or something and they don't which is kind of lame.

Thanks. We've been on the wrong side of average this whole process haha. On the bright side the embassy was willing to send us the packet 3 before it was even received at the nvc. So we have everything ready already.

Except that I am now short on time due to all my delays. Looks like a late June interview for me and the possibility that I won't be moving when I had hoped (July 13th). It's very likely that I'll now be moving much later in July. Just hope I can enroll my daughter in school ok.

If you get your number this week you should still have an appointment for June 10-15th at the latest giving you a month to organise the move. Should be doable with a bit of luck :)
