Thank you all for the answers! So I can go through it and do some of it and then save it, and he can log on and get the saved one and do the rest? Is that kinda how it works?

Yup, you can totally do that too. Start it and save it and you just give him the number to pull it up on his end and he can finish it.

hello

question...we need to translate the birth certificate from Spanish to english, along with other documents...is there a form or template that the person translating needs to sign? if so where can I find it?

This is directly from the USCIS website:

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and [enter appropriate language] languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled [enter title of document].

Signature

Typed Name

Address

Date

Here's the link just in case: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/forms-and-fees/general-tips-assembling-applications-mailing

Someone mentioned a tracking number for your petition once it leaves the NVC, does anyone know if this is possible? I can't find the comment now...

It's possible to track via DHL, though it's a bit complicated.

As you're 'ready' I'll not bother trying to find the earlier post about it.

But yea, you can track the shipment in a few cases/countries, and you obviously get the NVC number as well which you can track the status with.

Heyy everyone, I have a quick question; when the embassy received your petition, how long did it take before you were able to schedule an interview?

It depends entirely on the individual embassy, might be worth looking for other people who've used your embassy on the timelines.

The UK one has been approximately a month before I could book, and a month from booking till interview. So two months end to end.

Congrats!!! It just takes a little patience and stubbornness! Ha ha ha I booked his interview before we got packet because I refused to wait when I knew what to do already!! And he's getting his passport back this week it seems! They got the needed paper today and the portal says his passport is being delivered to post, when this morning it says your passport is still at the consulate. Ha ha

Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!?????

Best wishes everybody and good luck!! We're here if you need us!!! Ha I interview was fast but he was first in line. They only asked three simple questions. And one was rude to him.

We are still waiting for last min things on his part before letting them know he is ready. He doesnt want to say he is until he has all documents -_- but after he submitted the form he went to go see about interview on the website. Apparently there are none available as of now. He figured he should wait til he emails them anyways to set that up cuz that is what the original email from the embassy said to do and they will set it up...

Not sure about anyone else, but mine went to "in transit" last night and today it says "ready" so it must have been sent and received overnight. Hopefully others get sent out soon!
