Called the help line for the visa appt site this morning and they say the issue isn't due to the change in K1 visa process for Vancouver, but simply that they have no visa appts available, and to keep checking until one shows up. I don't believe for a second the two aren't related. I already emailed the consulate directly so hopefully they can confirm or correct what I was told. For now I'll just keep checking the site. It's beyond frustrating to be this close and not able to schedule the interview. I've been pretty patient along this process but I've reached a point where I'm incredibly disheartened.

You applied after us and you're already that far into the process, so don't feel disheartened.

I still haven't received a letter from the NVC and they shipped our case off to the embassy a while ago...should I be concerned?

It took a while to get my one as well, in fact I forgot I even recieved it. So no don't worry about it.

It's the embassy packet 3 that's the important/required part.

Our case arrived today in Caracas!!! I have a question; our case says ready on CEAC, but when my fiancé tried to print the slip, it says the case isn't loaded??!! Are we doing something wrong on the website?

I've asked a couple of people and it's usually so different that I can't get a good estimate...one person said 20 days, one said 10, another less than a week....but the end of this week is our 20 business days mark so I feel like that's a reasonable estimate...

I was told I would not receive one....I filed for the k1 fiancé petition

mine shows its in transit and interview was scheduled but doesn't say when it is schedule...

It shows that as a generalized notation that your interview is scheduled because it's under the "Immigrant" section/process. However, we have to follow our country-specific consulate instructions because some consulates will schedule the interview for you and others don't because it's a K-1 Visa which is a nonimmigrant visa.

Congrats!!! It just takes a little patience and stubbornness! Ha ha ha I booked his interview before we got packet because I refused to wait when I knew what to do already!! And he's getting his passport back this week it seems! They got the needed paper today and the portal says his passport is being delivered to post, when this morning it says your passport is still at the consulate. Ha ha

Wheeeeeeeeee!!!!!?????

Maybe USTravelDocs has too many technical issues. I just got off the phone with their customer service center because my fiance cant print out the stupid CGI slip, it kept saying our record was invalid or something like that. The guy I talked to said it was a common problem, so he had to escalate the case to the embassy!! We were so close!!
