Mine was shipped out to the consulate 2 days after and it's arriving today.

I booked the Medical + Biometrics for the 13th and Interview on the 17th... here's to hoping these next 2 weeks go by fast :)

Here are packet 3 instructions for the poice clearance. I wonder if I can just have her print out a copy of it from the website when I track it or something? As it states she will need a copy of our NVC case notification.

KUWAIT POLICE CLEARANCE: All immigrant visa applicants age 18 and over are required to present a police clearance certificate (original & photocopy) from the country of their current residence (Kuwait), if residence in this country exceeds six months. In order to obtain a Police Clearance from the Kuwaiti government, you will need to pick up a clearance request letter at the U.S. Embassy, Window #2, Sunday through Thursday, from 1 p.m. till 3 p.m. You will need a copy of your Case Notification from NVC or KCC (Diversity Visas) in order to pick up the letter. Please note that the Kuwaiti government will not issue police certificates without the Embassy letter

Congrats to everyone moving forward!

We're still in limbo over here. We received Packet 4 on Wednesday and have been trying to schedule our interview ever since but the site still doesn't recognize our Case #, and no response yet to the email we sent for assistance (per the error message). It says they can take 3 - 4 business days to respond so hopefully we hear something by tomorrow at the latest. We're so damn close. I can't believe a technical issue is all that's holding us up at this point.

I'm not sure, but here in England after NVC we get packet 3, maybe that can be used to get her police clearance? We don't need it here since I didn't need anything to get my police check done so have that already. I'm sorry i can't be of more help with it.

The Kuwait embassy is pretty strict due to it being in the middle east. They normally dont let you even close to the enterance without an appointment. Its crazy you dont need one with the paper.

We can't go past the security at the US embassy with out an appointment either. I have to even email them to let them know I'm taking my daughter if I can't get anyone to drop her and pick her up from school, since she wouldn't be attending (she has US citizenship from her father). I think some other countries are the same where they don't allow you to get the police check with out information from the embassy. But England is pretty easy with that. I applied before I got my NOA2 and it came in a week.

I'm so pissed off right now. I called the help # on the appointment site, just in case they'd let us schedule over the phone. The woman then tells me that the email address they provide with the error message is actually incorrect, and gives me a new one, saying that I now need to wait another 3-4 business days (already waited 3). So essentially we had to start over with the help request because they have the wrong email address on their site...which they know about. What makes it even worse is the fact that I spoke to someone on Friday who said NOTHING about the email address being incorrect. Oh, and everyone confirms it's just a technical issue that will take a few minutes to fix once someone actually gets to it. I am so over this.

Idk about your country. But the kuwait embassy says the same thing, and they get back to me within a couple of hours during their open time in their time zone.

The Canadian consulate usually gets back same day or next business day, but this is a completely different email address than anything I've used before. I'm not even sure who I'm emailing...I think the consulate. LOL. Hopefully it's quick.
