That administrative processing hold up makes me nervous. Knowing my luck, we will be randomly selected for a thorough recheck -___- everything is accurate in our petition so I'm not worrier about there being an issue, but we've had a lot of delays lately. I plan on calling the NVC tomorrow to see if they have our case yet.

Sooooo....I just got off the phone with NVC, and the young man told me my case was in administrative processing. I asked him why and he said that every case that comes through NVC goes through AP. But I'm confused, doesn't that mean they hold your case longer? In which case, everyone's petitions would be held up!

This is what they told me the day I called, but it was sent the day after! :)

Good luck for monday! I know the feeling about everything getting held up. I feel like that too. I'm sure it'll be ok.

We just got a notification from USCIS that our case status changed, but when we checked it was empty for a few hours then went back to the original "accepted" status. Weird... I know USCIS isn't doing anything else so we aren't expecting anything from them, but does anyone know what happened here?

I didn't have to put in an address.

I used Travelocity and it just asks for their name as it appears on the government ID they will be using.

does it say on his passport? i had to ask mine for the application how they do their addresses should look there/?

From what I've seen people's cases get shipped anything from a few days to a week. But I think (and I emphasize the think because I don't know for sure) that it depends on how often they mail to each embassy.

Good luck, everyone! Hope to hear of more progress this week!

I just checked the CEAC website, and my petition is still at NVC. I hope they ship it this week, because the economic situation is becoming more dire in Venezuela :cry2:
