That's what I was thinking, maybe we can explain

I already printed it, so I checked last night, and once the DS-160 is submitted, there's no option to go back and edit it. I was thinking maybe to make a new one, and print the new confirmation page, and send it to him. He can take it with him to the interview, and be up front about it if the CO asks. Or just leave it the way it is, and still explain our mistake.

If you haven't paid the fee already you're ok. I believe you enter the confirmation number when you pay the fee... so if you haven't paid (even though you submitted) you can re-do another one and use that confirmation number when you pay. Double check, I thought that's what I read last night. But I agree it wouldn't be a big problem either cuz you can explain that at the interview.

Visa was approved! But they want us to have a joint cosponsor... Saying I didn't make enough last year (barely) and me making more than the minimum already and $12000 in savings/assets didn't cover it because I've only been at this job six months as a dental hygienist. Irritating. But hopefully simple fix!

It really does make you crazy and paranoid, you think the smallest of errors or mistakes is going to totally de-rail the entire process and make you start again at square one. And of course you have so much time to wait that all you can do is totally over think everything!!

I made a mistake on the original application and didn't notice until after our NOA2, and I sent a crazy 4 paragraph email to the embassy freaking out and trying to fix it and and they just replied saying to calm down it's not a problem

I'm sure they see errors and honest mistakes all the time, as long as it's not intentional deception you don't need to worry.

I almost did the same thing this morning in a panic! But it really does feel like, if you make a mistake, that's the end, especially when your future with your fiance or spouse rests in the hands of a CO!

To "bring something to the attention of his GP". Basically just proof that he told his GP about this specific thing. Alright, no big deal. Except he's been waiting over a month for the Military to send him his discharge papers because his GP won't make an appointment until they can request his military medical records and they can't do that without a specific form. Ugh. So big waiting game. We were hoping for him to be here in June... Now I wouldn't be surprised if it's not until August or later. We can't even get a confirmation that the military received the form he mailed in over a month ago.

Waiting, waiting, waiting... Fun times.

Sooooo....I just got off the phone with NVC, and the young man told me my case was in administrative processing. I asked him why and he said that every case that comes through NVC goes through AP. But I'm confused, doesn't that mean they hold your case longer? In which case, everyone's petitions would be held up!

Our case was in administrative processing for 15 days and it drove us nuts. We were seeing other people's cases come in and go out quickly and wondered why ours was stuck. Apparently some case are pulled for extensive re-checking at NVC. All cases undergo administrative processing but only some are randomly extensively checked. I was reading in the forums about some cases being stuck at NVC and that it could take up to 8 weeks but ours was only 2 weeks. Our case got to NVC on April 6th and left on April 21st. Hope this info helps you to know a little more. I know it will happen quickly for you. Good luck! Edited April 30, 2016 by RDK
