Quick quest everybody just because I'm second guessing myself here... on the DS-160 there's a question that asks "Do you have any immediate relatives, not including parents in the U.S.?" And off the right it says a note that this includes Fiancé/Fiancée and it's in fact included in the drop-drown.

The sample DS-160 Form here on VJ has that entry as a NO... but the instructions clearly indicate we would check off "Yes" and select Fiancé/Fiancée in our case being a K-1. Did everyone select that too or followed the sample and put No?

Omg no we didn't see that. I'll tell him.

Ahhh my fiance and I didn't even see that!! I think he put no!! I looked at the sample DS-160 on here as well, and I didn't see that section.

That's what I was thinking, maybe we can explain :sleepy:

I already printed it, so I checked last night, and once the DS-160 is submitted, there's no option to go back and edit it. I was thinking maybe to make a new one, and print the new confirmation page, and send it to him. He can take it with him to the interview, and be up front about it if the CO asks. Or just leave it the way it is, and still explain our mistake.

I'd not be worried about it being honest. I'm sure it happens, and the people at the embassy will be able to put two and two together. "no relations, but a fiance" hence the visa.

It's not like you have 20 illegal cousins in the US, waiting for you to get status so they can adjust too... is it? ;)

HAHAHAHA!!! That gave me a good laugh this morning!! This whole process is making me paranoid lol We will leave it they way it is :star:

It really does make you crazy and paranoid, you think the smallest of errors or mistakes is going to totally de-rail the entire process and make you start again at square one. And of course you have so much time to wait that all you can do is totally over think everything!!

I made a mistake on the original application and didn't notice until after our NOA2, and I sent a crazy 4 paragraph email to the embassy freaking out and trying to fix it and and they just replied saying to calm down it's not a problem ;)

I'm sure they see errors and honest mistakes all the time, as long as it's not intentional deception you don't need to worry.

Saying I didn't make enough last year (barely) and me making more than the minimum already and $12000 in savings/assets didn't cover it because I've only been at this job six months as a dental hygienist. Irritating. But hopefully simple fix!

Yay!! How much do they think you should make a year? Got me worried now. Ive been with my job for 11 years so hopefully it will be okay cuz idk who I would get to cosponsor. Not to mention I dont have a lot in savings but lots of deposits through the year.....

You must have looked at the old one because it more then that. The 100% is $16,xxx BUT since the K1 has immigrant intent and leads to the Adjustment of Status where the 125% amount is used with the I-864, most embassies use the 125% number with the I-134.
