Hi January Filers! We are now officially apart of the group. I sent our package today via FedEx and it is scheduled to be delivered on Monday morning January 25, 2016 by 10:30am. I am very thankful for this website and the plethora of information on here. Thanks to everyone for all the support. We will need it through this process.

I have a few questions. When will we receive our case number? How can we check the status of our application? I read in the thread about apps, but I couldn't see initially what apps they were referring to. Thanks to all of you for your time! ??

I have a few questions. When will we receive our case number? How can we check the status of our application? I read in the thread about apps, but I couldn't see initially what apps they were referring to. Thanks to all of you for your time! ??

Welcome and congrats on setting sail on this journey!

You receive the case number as soon as they open up, process and accept your petition. If you included Form G-1145 then you'll receive that via a text and/or email. It's usually a couple days after delivery.

You can then check the status on the USCIS webpage or download one of the apps available.

Quick question guys, do I update the Noa1 date on my timeline when I physically receive it in the mail or I can put the date based on the text/email I've received?

The NOA1 date that will be printed on the hardcopy notice is probably going to be the date you received the text/email. That's the date I used as well, and if it's different when we get the hardcopy in the mail it might be different by a day or two at most.

Thanks for the link. I went to the app store on my iPhone and installed USCIS Case Tracker Searcher and I-Tracker Lite. At this point, I can't track anything, but I'll be able to once I receive my case number. Thanks for everything!

m so sorry to bother you but i wanted to know how I would be able to post my question on the visa journey? seems that i am only able to respond to others post but i really need help and need to post something of my own.

can you please help me? is there a FEE to post something? I wouldnt think so? but if there is then maybe that is why i am having a hard time posting .

My NOA1 date was the same as the date we received the email I think.. Although the only part of the letter I could see that SO gave me said 11th so I'm not sure. But it shouldn't be too far off. I'm sure you can change it if it ends up being a few days away.

Once you get your NOA1 you'll be able to start tracking. BTW tracking also includes everything you do with USCIS during your journey from the initial application for the interview approval to AOS, ROC and then Naturalization.

anyway please feel free to email me back at beayunca@yahoo.com It's a good thing NOT to add your personal information. There is a feature that someone can send you a Personal Message without anyone else seeing your message. To use this feature, Click on the person's icon picture and then go to the left column and you will see "send me a message". Once you click on that you will get a open window to begin your conversation with the individual. Once they reply you will see in the upper right corner a picture of an envelope and it will have a red number telling you how man messages you have. Click the envelope and a window will pop open for you to view their return message.

To post your own topic you go to the thread which matches your question and then in the upper right corner use the "Start New Topic" button. Add your subject. Be informative so other know exactly what it is your looking for. Like "Need help for an RFE missing signature or Need help for an RFE dating site. This lets the individual determine if there is something they can add to your conversation or they may know nothing and they move onto the next thread.

Hello, I have a question. If the beneficiary's G325a was signed and dated 12/28/2015 how long do I have to mail my entire packet before it's considered invalid? Is there a timeframe from he signature date??

No i don't think so as i signed mine on October 1st and my fiance in December 2015 but sent the file in mid January 2016. It doesn't matter at all. :)
