Exactly. It's what you've seen referred to here as a police certificate. Ours only took a day as my fiancé had no record so he didn't need fingerprints.

Was just crazy to me to think of that. Had I known I could have told him weeks ago. They had to fingerprint him though. Things can take so long in Trinidad smh What about the whole previous marriage thing? Work t he same way? Cuz hes never been married and how will they know he isnt lying??

Here we don't have to prove we haven't been married before.

I think some countries have to show some kind of proof.

(Not saying it yours just that some countries might)

The only thing I've seen related to marriage is a divorce decree/certificate to prove you're legally divorced if you have been married.

Yes that one has to be there. I'm not 100% sure but think there is some kind of paper they have to have in PI. Like I said not sure but Think

Interesting.

Either way, if it's not in your Packet 3 then you should be good acrossoceans. :)

PI requires a CENOMAR (Certificate of No Marriage). That's specific to the Phillipines. Very few countries issue such documents. It will be listed as a requirement on packet 3 (or at the embassy's website) if your country happens to be one of the few, otherwise you'll be fine, just make sure you have official certified divorce decrees if either of you have been married before and godspeed!

Says marriage certificate if you are married. And proof of termination or prior marriage. If applicable. Is all it says and goes on to show termination if divorce decree, disappeared, or death. I think we are ok. So many little things that can trip you up.

Yes! That's the one I meant. :)

No I'm good we don't need anything like that here :)

We were just chatting about if there was any kind of paper like that :)

that makes more sense now when I was watching a video on youtube of all documents needed. This lady said she needed that to prove she wasnt married and I thought that was crazy but she was also from Phillipines. No mention of a Cenomar in the instructions. Thanks for the help!

Side note, anyone else been contacted by the TV show 90 Day Fiance?? I was recently contacted..

Wow. So interesting. I didn't even know there was such a thing.

I have not been contacted, but everyone that I tell about the process says "you mean like that show 90 day fiancé?"
