Hey there fellow Jan filers! It's been a few anxious month for us as we filed in Mid January and received the NOA1 on 1/28. Unfortunately we got an RFE on 3/21 which we took care of in early April. (Missing letter of intent from beneficiary, which he had to sign and send back). RFE was Received at USCIS on the 6th and we are still waiting for an answer. We are entering the third week and I'm so anxious!

Any Jan filers out there experiencing the same? Is it safe to assume that CSC is running behind these days? Certainly feels like it.

I'm sure you will hear something soon. CSC is running behind at the moment. They haven't even started on March filers. They have a huge influx from VSC and are the only visa center processing K-1's and have an additional load of other types of petitions now too from other service centers. RFE's of late have been taking 2-4 weeks. Mine was received same as yours and was for TOS, it was already approved. But from what I've been told it depends on your case worker. They may have a different way of dealing with their RFEs. They will get to it soon. Everything is backlogged. NVC is too and cases are coming out of there slower. I wouldn't panic just yet. Give it a bit more time.

Question and maybe I already asked it lol. Our case shows ready at the embassy, I just sent my packet to him should get there wednesday and we are waiting for the embassy to contact him for more information. Hard copy from nvc says next steps to go to a site and learn how to start the k visa and prepare for the interview. Does that mean to schedule interview date? or just look over the information? Can he schedule his interview while waiting for medical exam form?

ignore what the NVC hard copy says basically. Go to the individual page for your consulate and read the steps in how it works. No two embassy functions the same.

You can do the DS160 form right now online, probably even pay the visa fee. Ours is good for a year so we did everything before they emailed packet 3 to us.

They don't want you to schedule an interview until you have packet three and understand the directions required, including the medical. Our medical could not be completed without an appointment confirmation page. Highly recommend you find your embassy and read up on it.

Our Packet 3 finally arrived today and we just finished the DS-160. Tricked wasn't kidding. That thing is no joke. And did anyone else have the problem with it timing out even when you were actively filling stuff out? We ended up having to write everything down, so that I could then enter it really quickly and save before it timed out. So frustrating.

Also, I'm glad we waited since the Packet 3 was definitely different than any of the other Vancouver versions that I've seen posted online.

Fiancé just needs to print and scan it back to his email tomorrow and then we'll send it off. Hopefully we hear back on Packet 4 asap and get this interview scheduled!
