So yesterday we received the NVC letter stating they've received an approved petition.

However, NO NOA2 has been sent to us and the website hasn't been updated.

President Obama has let into the country 10K Syrian refugees and it's now beginning to tax the immigration system. It's always been about 7-14 business days (never 7) but now it's beginning to stretch to 3 weeks. The whole immigration process is about patience. Nothing is ever what you think it will be. Just when you think you have figured it out, it changes.

I checked and of course my country is one of the few that still mails packets rather than emails :rofl:

But oh well, I have faith that it will still be fast :content:

awww. happy birthday. what a gift lol.
as for how long it takes, its better u ask people processing in the same country as you, cos different countries with their different procedures. as for me, the day my case changed to ready, I emailed the US embassy asking what's next and I got my packet 3 via email that same day (this is how my own country works, u should find out how yours works).

Just had a quick look over the timelines on here, though a lot are not filled in, so this might be a bit inaccurate of an assumption. It seems the average is indeed 14 working days currently.

The most recent, from yesterday was the 1st, so those on the 4th should be in the next 3 days? In theory...

24th - 15th - 14 working days

24th - 16th - 15 working days

23rd - 9th - 11 working days

I don't know how come it happens. My Noa2 is Mar 18, one day after you and now we ready to schedule for an interview. I think you need to keep calling them until you receive a case number or they might forget to update the system. If that happens, I think your case now is already at the Consulate

9/14/19: Biometrics letter received in the mailbox. Appointment is on Sep 25,2019

1/24/2020:  "New card is being produced"

07/07/16: I-485, I-765, I-131 AOS Application sent to USCIS Chicago IL.

07/08/16: Package delivered

7/12/16: Electronic texts & email receiveds

7/15/16: 3 Hardcopy NOA1s received in the mailbox with dated July 11,2016

7/23/16: Biometrics letter received in the mailbox. Appointment is on Aug 4,2016

8/4/16: BIO is done at Denver USCIS support center

8/17/16: I485 changed to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview" When????

9/12/16: EAD/AP status changed to New card is being produced ---> then EAD/AP approved same day

9/16/16: EAD/AP Hard copy approval notices received. Card was mailed to me

9/23/16: EAD/AP combo card received

Aos interview 4/24/2017 --> approved on the spot. GC expire 4/24/2019

 

K-1 Journey:

1/18/16: I-129F Package sent via FedEx to Lewisville, TX

A quick question, NVC case status of our case is now 'Ready', does it mean the consulate has already received the case packet? I am asking this because I have never been able to find DHL tracking info.

I strongly suggest you contact them and request a copy as you need this for AOS.

Yup just call every afternoon. (603) 334-0888 press 1 soon as you hear the voice. Ours arrived 15 working days later. Shipped to consulate on day 16 after approval.

Varies by consulate. I got the NVC notice in the mail a week after the consulate already had it. The consulate emailed both of us three working days later. And it's up to us to do everything. Go to the NVC website and research on your particular consulate.

Where do you see the status of your case change from "in transit" to "ready"? Is it on the ceac.state.gov website or another website?
