How's everyone else holding up? This whole waiting thing is slowly killing me.

03/28/14 Met my husband in college while he was studying abroad in the USA

01/19/15 He had to move back to Brazil

12/31/15 Got engaged in the USA

07/25/16 Got married in Brazil

12/24/16 Sent I-130 to Chicago lockbox

01/11/17 Got all of my paperwork back via mail due to "incorrect fees" and "outdated forms" (They made a mistake, and there was absolutely nothing I could do about it.)

01/20/17 Clean copy of same I-130 and new check for same dollar amount sent back to Chicago lockbox

Wrong topic, my friend! We were the people who filed in January a year before you. I hope almost all of us are done now. My husband has been in the US almost five months. Yes, the waiting was hellish, but so worth it. This is likely the longest waiting period you'll have, right now. Good luck.

Whoops! Well, I'm glad to hear that there's an end to all of this. :)

Hi All,

First time posting here you guys are very helpful.

I filed for the i130 for my spouse on January 2016, I received the NOA 1 end of January 2016 and have since not heard from USCIS, I keep calling and asking what is happening and they say it is still under processing the last time I called on September 2017 they said the case is being adjudicated and I will received a response within 45 days, well it is going to be 45 days in 3 days and I still haven't received any response

Anyone else still waiting for NOA 2 for over 1 year and 10 months? its been 22 months! They did say they sent it to the California center in the first mail they sent us.

No, that's awful! What country is the applicant from? Something is very wrong. Have you contacted your US representative and senators?

The applicant is from yemen, I contacted the congressman and he got the same response. That the case is being adjudicated and needs another  45 days

Do you think the delay is because I first applied when I was a green card holder and then adjusted my status once I got the US citizenship? I got my US citizenship on September 2016

How much time the complete process takes? From filing i130 to the final immigration. Can any January 2016 filer explain me?

I have filed i130 for my husband and receive e-mail acceptance notification on Oct 4, 2017 but still didn't receive official receipt notice (i797) through regular mail. I am US Citizen and currently living in the UAE with my husband. Any help or guidance will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Samreen
