Hi today I recieved an email notice about RFE's for my son's and my own 1-485. We followed the steps on VJ has I have since day one for all filing and I've never had this before. Sent all forms, marriage cert, birth certs, tax forms etc. I know there is no exact way to know until I get the RFE's but I need some ideas and peace of mind, stressing out :(

what has been other people's experiences?

Thanks Inadvance

Don't stress yourself too much, I myself got an RFE, I also sent all the documents, everything was perfect I thought.. But my RFE was "complete federal tax return" of my husband, and believe me, I sent them the last 3 recent years of his w2's.. Maybe they will need something that you already sent! Just relax, as long as you will give them what they're asking, everything will be fine! ?

23dave is aabsolutely right, dont stress out they most probbly asking for something ou already sent, just wait till it comes and reply promptly and you will be fine. I have heard many "conspiracy theories' that they do this with applications to buy themselves time. whatever they request for send even if you have sent them copies before send them more copies and just send it ASAP.

Wish you and your family all the best through this application

Thank you both so much, I guess because I'm so on point when it comes to paper work for everything day to day I was really not expecting it so the worry is a little more. I guess I just needed peace of mind from others that have gone through it already. My husband would kill me (not literally lol) if he knew I was stressing this way I'll be destressed before he wakes lol.

We only sent in 3 years of W2's so maybe thats it, then I'm thinking might be medical related as we filed so close to the year window (oopies)but I didn't send anything because it was still technically within the year.

Regardless I feel a lil better and I'm sure it will be a quick fix. I'm just hoping it doesn't delay my EAD since I don't and can't drive until I get it, and I'm reaching a year of moving from a big city to the nearest shop being 20mins drive away lol.

Thank you both :)

Thank you both again, turns out the i-864 affidavit of support form was no longer valid, I printed them out just after we got married in may and looks like they changed in July, due to life happening it took us a little longer then we had liked to send them off and I didn't even think of the valid lifespan of the forms lol

ok - that's weird - but i've seen this before on the last rev,

where USCIS would not accept it and NVC did for 6 months after expiration.

But hey - this one is easy ! transcribe one to the other, git r done !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yeah I am just happy it's an easy fix, print of new forms, I will attach W2's again just to be Safe. When I first read it I was like wth I printed off there website but then remember I may have printed them out before July.

Will be interesting to see if the revised verison actually differs from the second copy we have of orginals :P
