Hey i hope I'm right here.

Well I'm in America now since 1,5 yrs. I had insurance for the first year from my Au Pair organisation. Now I feel like it's time to go to the dentist, gynecologist, annual checks I did back in my home country.

I don't want to be on my husband insurance, so is there any cheap insurance that covers those (for me) doctor types? Or does anyone know if I can have insurance from my home country (Germany) which I can use here?

I'm very thankful for every answer. Thank you so much.

By the way, I have my interview for my 2 year green card end of January if it's important to know what my status is.

No, German insurance will not cover you, not even travel insurance, since you are not traveling.

Good luck with cheap insurance, I found the only insurances that made sense for me when I arrived (before marriage) were something like 200 USD/month. Actually, much less than I paid in Germany.

Why do you not want to be on your Husband's Insurance?

You can buy individually through the State Exchange, you are required to have cover.
