That's great to know, I'm having my interview in a month and worrying everyday because of proof and what they will require, I kink it depends on the officer and their discretion, but still it's good to know other people's experiences.

I hope your card gets to you soon, you deserve it, after waiting and being in the dark about it that long.

I had my interview in Pittsburgh on August 5th. Very easy. Just ask how we meet. This is all he ask about our relationship. Not ask any proof of relationship except our marriage certificate. He say that all look to be ok. Just yesterday our online status change in new card being produced and after some hours change in case was approved. Now I wait the card in mail. Was a long process but thank God all is finish... 2 years we will take a break...wish you all good luck in life

I received my conditional green card today in the mail. Thanks VJ members for your support. It kept me sane during the process. :dancing:

Hi. I just got message that they scheduled me for interview on October 12! What kind of questions they ask? Do I need to bring any paperwork, some supporting documents like for K-1 visa?

I also now that I had my medical exactly year ago on September 9, 2015. Does it mean I have to do another one?

I was hoping not to have an interview, so i am stressing a little bit.

They will send you a letter with the date and a list of documents you should bring with you, unless you already submitted them.

Basically it's good to bring with you everything you sent on your original aos packet and additional relationship proof (documents stating shared address, co mingling of finances and such). Since you're adjusting from a k1, those won't probably be needed but it's better to be safe.

In theory you shouldn't need another medical because you filed within one year from the medical, but it's possible the officer will issue a rfe at the interview for a new medical if he thinks it's needed. There were people recently that needed to redo theirs, but I've read some cases where the officer didn't even mention it.

Friends, finally I have my AOS interview on 21st Sep. I am excited but nervous at the same time...

Can someone please tell me the kind of questions they will ask and what should we take with them in addition to the usual stuff they have asked for?

We do not have a lot of photographs of family and friends though...just the two of us at many places together.

Just to update, I came on visit visa and got married in some critical circumstances to my husband who is US citizen and then we waited for a couple of months because I wanted to go back home and apply but things did not let us do that and I stayed here.

I need your advice and blessings. Please write back!

Anyone from New York Long Island Office (Holtsville) hear anything about their interview yet?

I'm also in Long Island. I'm not sure what my office is though. I live in Northport, not sure if that's close to you? I haven't heard anything yet! And my status changed to "case is ready to be scheduled for interview" on July 30th. I even contacted my congressman man about it but he said that there was nothing he could do. So frustrating

Guys I had my interview today and the lady was quite pleasant. She interviewed about all our past marriages and details of ex spouses and all kids and very minute details as to why the divorces took place and wrote names of ex spouses. She then said to me that was your family not skeptical of you marrying someone who was already married twice. She was nice and understanding.

Long story short - she said that I have to submit a birth certificate stating both parents names. I had submitted the one with mother's name only as those are standard in my home country. She said she would put my case on hold and wait for my birth certificate and I should wait for a letter in mail with details. She kept talking to us and looked reassuring though. I am soooooo worried. Actually sick now :(

Please please please reply back...I need a lot of support and guidance . Thanks !!

finally some news from San Jose! Interview on October 25!

One question though. The interview notice said my wife (applicant) and I (spouse) have to bring "Original Birth Certificate". I dug through my stuff but couldn't find mine. I am a naturalized US Citizen from Hong Kong, so I have a HK birth certificate. For those who already went to the interview, do the officer ask for both birth certificates? In the packet I only submitted the applicant's (my wife) birth certificate but not mine (I submitted the naturalization certificate).
