We got notified online about our EAD/AP approval on the same day. Had the card in our hands a week later. After the card came we got the letters of approval. So the system is kinda wonky at times but you will get a card soon.

Thank you for your answers. I appriciate it.

Today, notice a change in my status online ( for EAD & AP) ,It says:

Appointment Notice Was Mailed

On April 28, 2016, we mailed you a notice for Receipt Number MSC16666666666, requesting that you come to a USCIS office for further processing. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your appointment notice by May 28, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I still havent got it.

My question is, Is this appointment the interview? Have anyone has been asked for an appointment for EAD&AP. I DONT THINK THIS IS GREEN CARD INTERVIEW, because the starus for green card number hasnt change.

Hmm...this is weird, as there are usually no interviews for EAD/AP - do you have any special circumstances in your case?

I checked my status online yesterday and saw an update on my case. Does it mean my ead is approved. I did not see any update for the AP. This is the update "On May 6, 2016, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number MSCXXXXXXXXXX, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

Tabeak, thank you for your comment.

I dont know anything about this. Our marriage is true 100%, but even if they asked for an appointment, I don't know where and when to go because the mail that was posted to me on April 28 is an Aproval notice for EAD &AP, There is not any instruction there which can tell me where/when to go for an appointment. We are thinking to wIt till next week for any other mail and than to call them and ask what is going on. But I hate calling them, As Much as I know it is a pain in the neck.

Congrats leisli and happiness268 on your GC!

My Congressman's office informed me that my I-485 application has been ready for interview since April 5, 2016 and is waiting in queue, and that I will get an interview notice when an interview has been scheduled. The online status has not changed at all.

Does this mean that my file has moved from NBC to my field office in Boston?

thank you jayess21! finally doing some job searching now >_<

I'm finally done! took oath at DEC 2019 😁

Hey Guys I just had the interview yesterday.

Everything went very well, we got approved, it took about 45 minutes, but it went super fast for some reason.

We got there 20 minutes early and she received us at exactly 12 o'clock, our scheduled time.

The lady was very nice, made us feel comfortable, she asked us what is the other person's birthday, how we met (and that took a long time to tell because it was a very interesting story).

I think the only personal questions she asked were these 2.

She took a look at the photos and asked if she can keep some. I had a back-up album with printed photos on pages from shutterfly and she liked the idea of keeping that one.

She asked to see the driver's licenses, original birth certificate for both, my I94, and asked for everything we have like joint bank accounts proof, tax return, insurance.

After that she said she is going to do the approval process, told us about the i-751 form petition to remove condition of residence.

At the end I asked how will I get my card, she said give it about a week and it will come in the mail.

The only thing that surprised me is that she took back My EAD card saying that I am not going to need it anymore since I will have the other card. Did this happen to anyone else?

Congrats!!! don't have my interview yet but yes you won't need your EAD card anymore. GC is sufficient enough for both EAD and AP purposes.

Congrats to all who got approved. We went for an infopass appointment this morning, Tanya's middle name translated differently on her birth certificate than we put in the forms, so decided we should fix it before the green card. The lady said it was a good idea and just highlighted an address on the notice of approval and said to send a letter along with the translation to that address. Took the opportunity to ask about the green card and where it was at, she said it could be 10 more months until we hear anything. I hope that was just a standard leave us alone for a while and wait comment and won't be the actual time.

Has anyone here put a service request 60 days after USCIS received RFE response? Did anything meaningful happen as a result? In my case, it will be 60 days soon, and I wonder if I should put an inquiry on my I-485, on which I had the RFE. I am currently out of state. So no Infopass for me!

So, after countless service requests, an ombudsman complaint, an infopass apppointment and a congressman inquiry, I finally received notice that my EAD was approved on the 19th (via email response to my latest service request). My online case status has not changed to reflect this. After this whole debacle, I won't be able to breathe easy until I have my EAD card in hand. I really hope it will be an EAD/AP combo card, but at this point I'm more worried about EAD so I can finally start working. Hopefully I won't have to wait several more months for the AOS approval. I have to say, I'm really envious of all the January filers whose cases were processed so easily and who already have their GCs in hand!
