I did a service request and all I received was this notification yesterday "On April 27, 2016, your inquiry about the status of your Employment Authorization application, referral number SRxxxxxxxxxxxMSC, was completed." Does it mean they have closed the case they also sent me another update that says we will mail you a notice about your inquiry. Is there anyone that has a similiar issue or has done this before. Today makes 90 days since I have filed.

120 days today from when I sent my papers. Because I have no answer from my service request I made an infopass. Tomorrow I will go talk with an officer. I hope this will help.

Yeah, that's a long wait! I talked to the help line on the phone today and lady told me they are still processing cases with receipt date of Dec 10 in my local office!!! This is ridiculously slow. More like 5 than 3 months. I am going to try to expedite now, just trying to figure out what kind of documentation to present. (my field office is Fairfax by the way).

I thought EAD/APs are only processed at the NBC centre, but I guess not.

Congratulations!

Any way you can post a link with the potential questions you found?Thank You

I also just found this little tidbit which may help. We did NOT use this as I just found it a minute ago but seems to have good advice:

My local office is also Fairfax. I read your other posts and saw the receive date of your packet was on Jan 29, mine was on Jan 28. I called USCIS yesterday asking about my GC process. The guy told me my file was still at NBC! I thought my file would be at least pending at local office already. Anyways, according to the timeline they provided me, NBC is currently dealing with I485 cases from October 25 and the local office is dealing with cases from July 2015. It sounds quite long.

Thank You! That will be very helpful.

The last link made me nervous though. It says: afternoon appointment - bad sign. And I have a 12 o'clock interview.

Keep repeating the same thing.

Forget waiting the 30 days. Forget putting in a Service Request. Forget about all of that. Those don't really do much.

Make an Infopass appointment now to speak to an Officer in person about your case. These make a difference.

Infopass appointments are typically booked at least 2-3 weeks in advance. So make an appointment asap.

My EAD/AP was approved early this month but haven't received the card. Put in Service Request a week before, still no sign of "Card in Production".

USCIS tells me to wait for response until May.

I'll have Infopass next week. Let's see how it goes.

If the card is not in hand, it's virtually same as yet to be approved.

I wouldn't be worried, ours was at 12:15 and it was fine. There was only one interview after ours. You will be fine.

Went to Social Security today to get my wife's name changed on her SS card. Took a few extra things just in case, but they only asked for the birth certificate, certified translation of birth certificate, certified copy of marriage certificate and green card. No problems, smooth as butter. Once we get that card in we can change the names on our accounts and not have any more worries.

Good links that cover a lot of bases, for amusement continue to read the rest of the thread as it makes for a funny read... Some people getting their knickers in a right twist I tell you haha. A few years on a forum and everyone becomes an expert in these matters. Well it's people sharing this type of information across whichever boards that helps the vast majority (not trying to dig into people's background which is non of their business like 2 posters were trying to do on one of those links above)

I love it when you get the pièce de résistance of "well we didn't need to worry but our interview as we have a genuine marriage" in other words if you need to clarify or memorise anything beforehand you can't be in love or have a genuine relationship haha so funny when you read these types of posts. Yes yes your marriage is officially regarded as the worlds best, there is no comparison and here's a certificate to put up on your wall to prove it. Give me strength!!

You should call USCIS and/or make an info pass at your local office as soon as possible. This is taking way longer than the normal processing time for biometric. Being here on a business trip and then getting married a month after does sound sketchy but that has nothing to do with your biometric letter, it's something you need to explain it later to testify the fidelity of your marriage.
