hey everyone, i have a few questions.

Last night my status for AOS changed from "fingerprint fee received" to "new card being produced". I havent had an interview and never received a letter of potential interview waiver - so am I getting my GC..?

Also I got my EAD and AP approved the same day but didnt receive a combo card, just the EAD. What should I do? Should I bother with any of it if my GC is approved and card in production??

First, go practice your happy dance you'll need it.

Next, yes this is the Green Card. You'll see the status change to "case approved" after that it will be about one to two weeks until you have the card in hand. (FYI, you to will have the "stupid Green Card grin" upon arrival of the card).Don't worry about EAD/AP. You don't need them anymore.

Finally received the EAD card in the mail, no status update on the AP, BUT....i received a RFE, requesting Medical even tho he did the Medical in DR before he arrived. I guess I have to pay AGAIN for the medical. Hope this does not affect the AP process, or will it?

Hubby finally got to do biometrics today! yay, small victory.....now we wait again and see... we will be at 75 days for EAD/AP next week, so we are waiting before we can file a service request.

I have a question to those of you who already have their I-485 approved. Was there any status update on your I-130? I want to know if there is ever any change on I-130. My I-485 had an RFIE last month, so I know someone at least went through my file. For me, the I-130 is the only form that has no update since I filed my AOS.

Any clues?

Can't help with that I am afraid. Us K1s do not have to file a I-130 petition, as we did a I-129F petition during the visa process. Only J1, F1, B1/2, VWP adjusters need the I-130. I think it needs to be approved before getting the GC. Also, as an adjuster from anything but K1 you are almost guaranteed to have an interview from what I am reading on here.

We received the card today and it is indeed a combo card with the I-512 designation at the bottom.

I had the biggest sigh of relief when I saw it.

But I feel for you guys. Come on USCIS. These were supposed to be combo cards.

Alright guys. Some update on my AP that didn't come with EAD card. I guessed right... I received 2 pieces of paper (I-512 Authorization to Parole) that can be used MULTIPLE TIMES to enter the U.S. Both I-512s are the same so I guess one is for our own records. Although we don't have any travel plans yet, it's good to have this in hand in case we want a quick getaway weekend to Mexico/Canada.

Disagree with interview part. USCIS interviews most/all marriage based cases. In case of K1, since people have already appeared for an interview @ consulate, USCIS gives them interview Waiver - not all K1 cases get Waiver. People adjusting from other marriage based visas get interview call, this is because unlike K1, they have not appeared for an interview - like people adjusting from J1, F1, B1/B2 etc..

USCIS gives interview wavier to all/most employment based AOS - like people adjusting from H1B, L1B, L1A. They can still be asked to appear for an interview which is 2% to total cases, for audit purpose. Also, they can be asked to appear for an interview if the name check/background check returns some sort of flag.

Status changed to 'Card was Delivered To Me By the Post Office' with a tracking number today (April 8th, 2016)

The Combo EAD/AP was in my mailbox.

Hurdle one finished.

I am guessing with my RFE that the AOS application is reset and delayed by 30-90 days.
