still no biometric letter for me and you guys are so lucky. we have info pass appointment on the 31st next week and also congressman is following up.

congressman office just updated us that USCIS scheduled our biometric for 4/15 and the letter is on its way now. it's been 8 weeks since we filed our I485. sigh.....

I've been patiently waiting for my ead/ap approval, it's turning three months on 04/04. I submitted it 12/30 and was received 01/04, had my biometrics on 02/01. No rfe's nor update since then. Though I submitted an inquiry 5 days ago, the officer's response was it's still under review but I should receive a decision shortly.

congressman office just updated us that USCIS scheduled our biometric for 4/15 and the letter is on its way now. it's been 8 weeks since we filed our I485. sigh.....

we got our biometric letter in the mail today too :dancing: I guess they finally noticed the pile of files (ours) on their desk that was catching dust :rofl: 2 months after receiving it, but thank God we got it now

Thanks to my Congressman my EAD and AP was approved today! They contacted immigration on my behalf to expedite my EAD & AP, and I had no job offer in writing but I've had a pending job offer since January with a firm that has been gracious enough to wait. I am SO excited!

My husband and I will finally be able to pop open that bottle of Champagne we've been holding onto since our wedding in December! :dancing::dancing::dancing:

That's great. Congratulations! How long did it take you to get EAD-AP approved since contacting your Congressman? I am thinking of doing the same. Did you also put an expedited processing request to the USCIS by calling their number?

So, I was wondering, from when does USCIS count the 75 days for the EAD/AP service request? The date they show on the website "On date xx we received your form..." or the date that is printed on the NOA-1. For me these are two different dates.

Sorry just seeing your post now! Thanks so much - we are beyond relieved that my EAD/AP is finally approved.

So I contacted my local Congressman's office last Monday 21st March (76th day). I was really lucky that there is a lady that works in the office who specializes in immigration matters specifically. The following day (Tuesday 22nd) she put in the expedited processing request for me because I knew if I made it myself without evidence of my job offer USCIS would most likely decline it. And yesterday morning at around 8.20am, I received a notification that my EAD/AP case was approved! So it took only 6 days!

It was well worth asking for help. The lady at the local Congressman's office is so nice and so thorough she has decided to keep an eye-out on my GC status, and inquire every 2 weeks with USCIS on our behalf. :goofy:

I placed a service request based on 'received date' on the NOA. I did it on 77th day. For two business days the status remained on 'service request not currently assigned for processing'. Yesterday, March 28th, it changed to assigned to an officer and then I received emails/texts later in the day regarding approvals of my I765/I131.

Out of curiosity has anyone tried calling and listening to their case status on the automated line for the I-485 information. I know the NBC is in lee summit MO but does it update to your local office when it is sent or does it just continue to state that your case is in Lee Summit MO?

No, if you got a "Request for Initial Evidence", this resets the timeline on EAD/AP - based on what I have seen on here, it seems to delay it 2-4 weeks maybe.

Not sure if you were asking for the number for placing a service request?

This is what I used: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days

If you were asking regarding the status updates, I just kept checking my case status online. I-765 case's 'Next Steps' section showed it was 'not currently assigned'. Once the request got assigned to an officer it started showing in the 'Case History' section.
