I have been waiting for the RFE letter for the past two weeks and I'm getting worried... Don't know why it has delayed... Any suggestions as to what can be done.

I see. What was your situation while applying for your AOS? Cause some people in the army gets their approval really fast. Idk tho if thats a factor.

There is no rhyme or reason...their case may have been processed by a local office that is faster than others. Their case may have been top of the pile at NBC. Their case may have been pulled before others to train adjudicators. Don't try and investigate patterns - for AOS, with so many cases and offices, there is none.

In any case: NOT having a RFE certainly helps. Plus, being what the US views as low risk (i.e. no MENA countries, Arabic names, travel history to countries not on the best grounds with the US) probably helps...

Other than that: happy waiting everyone.

We sent our RFE response yesterday, which was received today according to Fedex. Our question is will we get a text or email when USCIS has processed our RFE response? Or do we just have to wait until case approval or a second RFE (really hope not!)?

So, as I mentioned a few weeks ago, I received notice for AOS interview on March 29th. Today I saw that I had more mail from USCIS. I assumed it would be my EAD/AP combo card. Instead it's an RFE for documents to be brought to the interview. Documents that they already outlined I should bring with me interview in the initial notice I received a month ago. Is this additional notice normal? Are they doing this for my best interests? It seems redundant and a waste of paper.

Hi everybody

Just to give you guys a quick update on my AOS.

I just got a text message on my I-485 status: "My new card is being produced". Wow that was really quick. YAY

NOA 1 date 01/05/16

Hopefully you will good news soon, too.

I will open a bottle of champagne with my husband now. :))))
